"Hey, wake up.." a soft voice coaxed as someone gently shook your shoulder, slowly getting rougher and insistent. "Wake up, (name)." the person shook you harder.
you let out a groggy whine, stretching slightly as you blinked awake, opening your eyes to the morning light, squinting them at the sunlight. "Already..?" you murmured, yawning. "Yeah. Come down for breakfast, okay? Lyney and Freminet are almost ready, so hurry up."
"Mkay.."
you trudged downstairs, your backpack slung over your shoulder. you threw my backpack on the couch, turning your head to the dining table to take your seat. ".. You know you have a laptop in there, right?" Lyney reminded you, making your eyes widen slightly. "Oh- I forgot.. But whatever, it's just a couch."
"Whatever you say, just make sure it doesn't fall on the ground." Lyney chuckled lightly, as he took a seat at the dining table.
As you all ate, Freminet mentioned something. ".. by the way.. Who broke the dryer last night..?" Freminet asked quietly, and somehow, everyone's eyes were on Lynette. ".. You don't even have to ask the question, do you?" Lynette responded sheepishly, averting her gaze.
"I'll just fix it at the weekend.." Freminet said, as Lyney sighed. "Don't touch the dryer again, you'll know what happens anyway." Lyney added in a soft tone, yet laced with sternness.
You all arrived at the campus, proceeding to your respective lockers, which were a bit far apart. But that's fine. You shoved my backpack inside, shutting the door. "Hey, (Name)!" you heard a voice not so far away, turning your head towards the source of the voice. "Oh, Aether!" your lips curled up into a smile as you greeted the boy. His hair flowed like a golden river in the breeze as he walked towards you with a confident stride, his amber eyes locked on yours.
"Long time no see, huh? How was your vacation?" you asked, wrapping your arm around his shoulder. "Fun, obviously." Aether responded, his lips playing a soft smile as he recuperated your gesture with the same energy.
"What did you do there? Anything unwelcome or unpleasant that occurred?" you added, as you both strolled around the hallways, each of your steps in sync. "Well, falling into a river counts. Right?"
