After returning home late at night last night–which was today's morning already as it was about 2am–I dozed off to sleep on my bed. Waking up to morning sun 6 hours later, I dressed in my workout clothes and grabbed my bag. On my way out of the house I refilled my water bottle adding some lemon and mint in it and grabbed an apple for the kitchen counter.

Every time I leave the house I wish I could never come back here, having all my stuff in a bag, keys from another apartment that is far away from this place, at least mentally.

3 more years and I am out.

I exited the house and locked the door behind me, when I turned around and bumped into a beautiful, white, yellow-eyed Snowy owl. The owl hit me in the chest and fell to the floor, me coping her. At first, I was muddled and kept blinking at the white creature laying next to me on the porch of my house. Only after 20 seconds did I mention that the owl was carrying a letter in her small, fluffy paw.

The owl stood back to her feet before launching itself in the air right above my head and dropping the letter on my head, flying away after.

I sat there in shock for another 3 minutes after waking myself up and picking up the letter that was laid next to my feet on the floor of the porch. I brought myself back to my feet with a beige colored letter in my hand. The letter was made from parchments, with a red wax stamp at front above a logo of something. As I opened the letter I read it once. Then once again. And then once again, for the 3rd time.

What the hell?

I quickly took the phone out of my pocket and clicked the first name on the calling list. The beeps of the call started coming out as I pressed the phone to my left ear, holding the letter in my right.

"Morning..." sounded on the other line said in a lazy, sleepy voice after the beeps stopped coming.

"Were you still sleeping?" I asked back.

"Marta, I know you are an early morning swallow, but I'm not. For sure I would be sleeping at 9am on the 2 days before leaving for school," he answered, his voice becoming more frustrated with being woken up so early, "You okay on the other line?" He asked as I didn't make a noise in 10 seconds after his complaints. His voice now became more agitated and awake than before.

"I need to meet you immediately. See you at the roof in half an hour," I said, ending the call.

I shoved the phone back into my pocket and left for the closest Starbucks to my house. After 25 minutes, I was at the top of the building with 2 mocha coffees and a croissant for Nathan beside me. I picked up my coffee and took a sip, hearing the door to the roof opening and a tired, hardly awakened statue walked in. He walked up to me and took a seat beside the 2 mochas and a white bag.

He yawned, turning his head to me asking, "What happened that you needed to see me so urgently?"

I looked in his gray eyes and then pushed a coffee and a white bag to him. With his eyes, he asked if it was for him and I nodded in response. He opened the bag and smiled while looking inside. Putting the bag back in between us, he picked up the Starbucks cup that was standing the closest to him and took a sip of his drink, questioning me with his eyes.

"So?" He asked, breaking the silence impatiently.

"Ummm, I don't know where to start and how to explain this," I murmured to him, knowing the answer.

"Start from the start," he said, bringing the cup to his mouth again.

I took out the letter from my bag and placed it where his cup was before he picked it up. His glance fell right at the letter and a second later he choked on his drink and spit it out, coughing badly. After calming down, he glanced back at me, looking me straight in the eyes, then back to the letter, back to my eyes; and like that about 5 times before he stopped and looked me in the eyes.

"Marta, what the hell?" He yelled–not really at me but to me–picking up the letter taking a closer look.

"That was exactly my reaction to this after reading it," I answered his rhetorical question and let out a sigh before continuing, "It was brought by a Snowy owl this morning that hit me when I was leaving for gym. It crashed into me, making both of us fall on my porch and then when waking up dropped the letter on my head and flying away."

"No fucking hell you got a letter from Hogwarts! Why so late though? Were your parents wizards too? Have you known about Hogwarts before?" He yelled back in disbelief.

"Wait, you knew about this school? Why didn't you tell me about it? It is the place you and Elisa are learning?" I asked him so fast, I don't know if he understood them all.

"One, yes I did know about Hogwarts. Two, I was not allowed to tell anybody, even you, sadly. Three, yes, both me and Elisa are learning in Hogwarts," he answered my question calmly, taking a sip of his drink and me coping his actions. "Now, you need to calm down, because I'm confused as hell right now."

For a few minutes, we were sitting in silence. I was looking at Nate who was looking in the city with a wise look.

"You know what? I don't have a slightest clue that explains why you got this," he wiggles the letter between us, "but I think that the only way to find out is go to Hogwarts. You got the ticket for the train, right?" his voice was calm and nice, like usual.

I nodded in response while taking out the ticket and placing it above the letter in between us.

"Okay, so–good. You know what, I need to go get all of the supplies for school and I was worried you will be a little problem with that. However, now, the problem is solved!" He exclaimed.

"One, how was I a problem to that. Two, how is it solved?"

"One, you always wanted to spend the most time with me on the last days and asked to go get them with me, which I could not allow myself to do as much as I wanted to. Two, you are a witch now and I can tell you everything. Plus, you also need to get the supplies. Perfect!"

"The train leaves is Sunday, is it?" I asked a rhetorical question. Nate nodded at me so I continued, "So, we can go get them all tomorrow, and you will help me. And today," I paused to breathe, "you will have to tell me everything about Hogwarts and what I missed in past...5 years, is it?" I finished with a question to get a nod in response.

"Umm, okay, good. Mom and Eli went to get everything today while I ran to you, so we can go ourselves tomorrow. Hogwarts, right. I'm gonna tell you everything you need to know."

"Yeah, and while you tell me that, please eat. I got it for you to put in your mouth, not to let it lay here and get dry as hell just to throw it off later."

"Okay, sure mother," he answered in a teasing voice, rolling his eyes and opening the white bag. "So, let's start from the beginning..."
