They ran non-stop, not even bothering to stop for catching their breath. The rain was pouring over them and they were completely drenched by the rain water but they didn't care, all they cared for or only Link cared for was them to get to safety.
Zelda's hand was in Link's hand, he was holding it tightly so they wouldn't get separated, she looked behind them and then she tripped and her slipped out of his grip and she fell on the muddy ground. He looked behind him and crouched down to her level.
"How..." she clenched her hands and sniffed "How did it come to this?"
Link placed his sword on ground and tried to look at her face.
"The Divine Beasts...The Guardians...They've all turned against us...It was Calamity Ganon. It turned them all against us!" She slowly lifted her head up and looked at him with signs of tears in her eyes "And everyone—Mipha, Urbosa, Revali and Daruk...They're all trapped inside those things.....It's all my fault!" She buried her face into her hands and burst into tears "Our only hope of defeating Ganon is lost all because I couldn't harness this cursed power! Everything....everything I've done up until now...it was all for nothing" she looked back at him "So I really am just a failure!! all my friends...the entire kingdom...my parents most all..." tears rolled down her cheeks "I tried and I failed them all...I've left them all to die."
She sniffed and fell into Link's arm and cried even more— he wrapped his arms around her tightly and rested his chin on her head, he knew that she needed sometime to cry because at the moment they couldn't do anything, it was raining so much that it was so hard so see around them.
His hand was creasing her back as she kept on crying in his arms, he tried his best to comfort her— after a few minutes she calmed a bit and pulled herself out from his arms, she wiped her tears and said "We should continue searching for safety.
Link nodded and stood up while picking up his sword from the muddy ground.

There were piles of defeated guardians, one on each other as the rain water fell onto them making an electrical shock sound after almost a second.
Still from behind many guardians were roaming around looking for something they could kill, as they were already alerted that there were Hylians around the area they were.
Link was completely exhausted, he had been killing the guardians, one after another they just didn't stop coming, they were so many of them—he was standing in front of the princess, trying his best to protect her.
Zelda placed her hands on his shoulders which were trembling "Link!, save yourself! Go!...I'll be fine! Don't worry about me!....Run!"
No, he couldn't just run away like that, it was his duty to protect the princess at all costs—if he left then the princess will be in danger, he had to do what he was entrusted to do, he couldn't just give up- he may be very weak and exhausted at the moment but that doesn't mean that it's his chance to give up and run.
Another guardian came towards them and behind it another one then another, so many were coming.
Link picked his sword up, he was ready to kill them all, not caring for himself—the guardian targeted him and was about throw its laser at him but just before it could touch him, Zelda pushed him aside and came in front of him "NO!!" she lifted her in front of the guardians.
A powerful, radiant light envelops her. This signifies the activation of her latent powers. The visual effect represents her divine abilities finally awakening, the binding light could be seen from miles away too and the guardians around them get defeated.
She looks at her hand with widen eyes "Was...was that...the power." she heard a thud from behind, she turned around and saw Link on the ground while breathing heavily.
"No...No..." she went running to him and pulled him in her arms "Link! Get up!"
He coughed a little and looked at her with concern in his eyes.
"You're going to be just fine..." She said as she moved her face near his— he tried his best not to close his eyes, he knew if he did he would faint, but he was so exhausted and badly injured that he fainted.
Tears came out of her eyes and she rested her face on his chest, she cried not knowing what she could do anymore, the one person who was always there for her was now badly injured in her arms, she didn't know where to do—she was lost— she heard his sword as if it was trying to tell her something, she lifted her head and looked at it, it was trying to tell her something...was it trying to comfort her?"
"The sword...?" she thought for a while "He can....he can still be saved?"
She looked back at him and felt horrible for him, he had scars and bruises all over his face "I'm so sorry, because of me you got injured so much....please wake up, Hyrule needs you, I need you."
She looked up that the sky, it was still raining non-stop— then she felt him moving....
