Jason stood in the hospital, blinking as nurses bustled around him. *Am I seriously here again?* The smell of antiseptic reminded him he wasn’t in some twisted daydream. No, he was back. Right back into the comic world where he was now *technically* a fictional character.

“This is insane,” he muttered to himself, glancing at the sterile walls. “What is my life?”

---

Seraphina paced her hospital room, a frown on her face. Her sharp heels clicked against the floor as she stared out the window. She couldn’t stop thinking about the man who saved her—twice.

*Who was he?* she thought, *and why did he seem so…* She struggled for the word. Mysterious? No, that was too cliche. Handsome? Well, yeah, but not important right now.

“Find him,” she snapped at Rafe, her right-hand man, who looked mildly terrified at her tone.

“We’ve tried, Ms. Locke. He just—”

“I don’t care. If he saved me, he has to be somewhere. People don’t just disappear!” Her voice was stern, but her mind couldn’t let go of the nagging question: *Why do I feel like he’s hiding something from me?*

---

Back in the real world—or so he thought—Jason tried to go about his day. He performed surgeries like a robot, his thoughts constantly drifting back to Seraphina. And the comic world. *The comic world,* he repeated to himself. *What even is my life?*

During a coffee break, he stepped outside the shop. Rain poured down like some dramatic movie scene, soaking him almost instantly. But as he was about to take a sip of his coffee, the air shimmered, the rain froze mid-air, and the whole scene blurred. Jason’s heart dropped. *Oh no, not again.*

The world rippled around him, and suddenly, there it was—Seraphina’s hospital in all its comic book glory.

“Okay, definitely not a dream.”

---

Seraphina’s phone buzzed.

“They found him,” Rafe reported. “He’s at the hospital.”

*Finally.* She smirked, but inside, her mind raced. *Time to figure out who you are, mystery man.*

---

Jason was dragged into Seraphina’s hospital room, feeling like a guilty child caught sneaking into a theater. She looked at him, arms crossed, eyebrow raised. If looks could kill…

“Well,” she started, her voice laced with sarcasm, “I’ve been meaning to thank you. Twice, actually. You’re quite the hero, aren’t you?”

Jason gulped. *Okay, play it cool.* “Just...doing what anyone would do.”

“Right,” Seraphina’s voice dripped with disbelief. “Because strangers just *happen* to show up at the exact moment I’m being attacked and then save my life. Totally normal.”

*Great,* Jason thought. *She’s onto me. Act dumb, Jason. Act dumb!*

“I guess it was...luck?” He flashed a weak smile.

Seraphina narrowed her eyes. “I don’t believe in luck.” She tilted her head, her gaze never leaving his. “I want to see you again. In a month, when I’m out of here. I think we have some things to discuss.”

*Well, that didn’t sound ominous.* Jason nodded, trying to hide the fact that he had no idea how long he’d even be stuck here. “Sure… I’ll, uh, be around.”

Seraphina smirked. “Oh, I’m sure you will be.”

---

Time passed differently in the comic world. Jason sat outside the hospital, watching days and nights flicker by like some kind of weird time-lapse video. He tried to get used to it, but it never stopped being *freaky*. One second it was day, the next night, and suddenly, it had been a month.

Jason groaned, rubbing his temples. “This place is going to drive me crazy.”

And then, just like clockwork, Seraphina’s black Lamborghini pulled up.

“Of course,” Jason muttered. *Because why wouldn’t the hot CEO drive a Lamborghini?*

Seraphina rolled down the window, eyeing him with a raised eyebrow. “Did you seriously sit here in the same clothes for a month?”

Jason looked down at himself. “I didn’t exactly have access to a wardrobe.”

She smirked, motioning for him to get in. “Let’s fix that. I can’t be seen with someone who looks homeless.”

---

Inside a high-end men’s store, Jason was shoved into a changing room while Seraphina sauntered through the aisles, charming every guy who looked her way. Jason pulled on a new shirt, only to hear some guy shamelessly flirting with Seraphina.

“Nice suit,” the guy said. “But I think you’d look better without it.”

Seraphina’s laughter echoed back. “You wish.”

Jason rolled his eyes. *Yeah, typical. Every guy in this comic world falls over themselves around her.*

He thought about how to get back to the real world. *There’s gotta be a way...* And then it hit him. In comics, there’s always some dramatic turning point—something that shocks the readers.

He stepped out of the changing room, his mind buzzing with a wild idea. *This is nuts…* But what choice did he have?

Before he could second-guess himself, Jason walked straight up to Seraphina, grabbed her by the waist, and kissed her.

Seraphina’s eyes widened, caught completely off guard. “What the hell?” she whispered against his lips, but there was something almost amused in her tone.

Out of the corner of his eye, Jason saw the words "To be continued..." float up like some eerie signal.

*It worked,* Jason thought, pulling back with a wink. “See you around,” he said before bolting back into the changing room.

---

Seraphina stood there, stunned. When she opened the changing room curtain, Jason was gone. She frowned, more intrigued than ever. “Well, well, well...whoever you are, mystery man, you just made things a whole lot more interesting.”
