THREE YEARS EARLIER :

JUNGKOOK'S POV :

"What?" Jimin asked, sitting up straighter in alarm.

"Ta-Taehyung knows I'm at your place," I replied, my eyes instantly shifting to the window in Jimin's room.

"Oh my God," Jimin whispered, his expression mirroring my horrified ones.

"Wait, wait. May-maybe it's just a lucky guess, right? He probably just guessed that I was at your place," I suggested and Jimin just stared at me silently, probably not knowing whether to give me false reassurances or not.

'I'm not at his place.'
I typed a reply and hit send.

His reply was almost instant.

'Aww, really? You think I don't know about your whereabouts, love?'

'There isn't any way you'd know, plus you're wrong.'

'I love how you're underestimating me. How about you tell me if you hear this.'

I read his reply, frowning at my phone, confused by what he meant. But before I could even say anything to Jimin, sounds of gunshots rang through the air, making Jimin and I flinch.

"Oh my God, that's the sound of his jeep!" I yelled, covering my ears.

"F.ck!" Jimin said shocked, his eyes wide.

My phone rang, and I picked his call up, panicking.

"Why the f.ck are you doing this Taehyung? Leave me alone!"
I yelled at him.

"Oh relax, butterfly, I just stopped to say hi. Why are you so scared?" Taehyung replied calmly, almost casually.

"Get the hell out of here, please," I begged.

"That's a weird way to make a request," Taehyung chuckled.

"Taehyung, please. Just leave," I sighed, a tear escaping my eye. My whole body was trembling in fear, and my heart hammered away in my chest.

It was two in the morning, and Jimin's mom was not even home. We were all alone, and if he decided that he wanted to come in, nothing and no one would be able to stop him.

"Okay, okay. I'll leave. But on one condition," he replied.

"What is it?" I asked.

"Come outside and meet me for five minutes," he stated.

"What? No. I can't do that. I'm not coming outside," I refused.

"Well then I'm not leaving," he replied.

"Taehyung, stop being so stubborn. What do you want with me?" I asked,  now beginning to get frustrated. Jimin remained silent during the entire conversation, just quietly listening in to what he was saying.

"I just want five minutes of your time. Just come down, meet me, we'll talk and then you can go back up, and I can leave," he replied.

"No. It's not possible. I can't come outside at this time of the night. It's not safe," I tried to reason with him.

"Come on, beautiful. Don't mock me like that. You know you have nothing to be afraid of if you're with me," Taehyung replied, and something about what he said made my heart skip a beat.

"Yeah, except you," I replied.

"Don't test my patience, Jungkook. I'm giving you exactly three minutes to come out, or I'm coming inside," Taehyung warned, the playfulness, mischief as well as the calmness now missing from his voice. His tone now had a warning to it, and a shiver crawled down my spine.
