"Dan Kouzo, I'll love you for as long as I can breathe." Magnus whispered the sweet words into Dan's ear.

A smile spread on Dan's lips, the sentiment warming his heart.. Those words were all he'd ever wanted to hear, Magnus's gentle, kind, loving tone sending a blush across his face. His heart kept beating faster and faster as the one he loved cupped his cheek with a cool hand, his other arm resting around Dan's waist.

Then something clicked in his mind, a slight, cold feeling washed over him but he ignored it; instead he laughed softly, "But... Magnus, you can't breathe." He giggled, taking it for a joke. There was no way it could be anything else when Magnus was holding him so gently-

Oh.

A sharp, searing pain hit him right in his side. Agony flooded through him as he collapsed to his knees, red liquid pouring thickly down his body to the ground beneath him.

"I know." Magnus responded dully, his face and voice impassive as he stepped backwards, a knife coated in deep red blood - in Dan's deep red blood - in his hands. "You were naive to have ever believed for a second I'm even capable of love." He chastised cooly.

Dan stared up at him, his eyes wide, unable to believe what was happening. His shirt was sticking to his side around the gaping wound, still oozing blood. "Magnus... What...?" He murmured, his words sticking in his throat. Tears springing to his eyes as he struggled to speak or even think clearly due to the immense pain his wound was causing him and from the shock of it all.

"You humans are all so pathetic," The puppet replied, apathetic to Dan's agony. "You all love to project feelings onto unfeeling objects, so much so that you forget it's impossible for us to feel anything. You walked right into this because you deluded yourself into thinking I was capable of loving, when all logic dictates that's a ridiculous belief." He sneered, letting the knife drop to the floor before Dan with a clatter. The boy could do nothing but watch as droplets of his own blood flew off the knife onto the ground beside him, splattering his face with blood and gravel.

Turning on his heel, he looked back at Dan once more, the puppet's face a mask of human-like concern that hid his utter lack of humanity. "But don't worry, I'll make sure your friends and family know you did this to yourself." A cruel smile crossed his face, "The shock they'll feel when they hear, Dan Kouzo; the beloved hero, dead by suicide at just eighteen." He laughed coldly, walking away without another look back, not an ounce of regret in his non-existent heart as he left Dan, dying in an ever growing pool of his own blood, on the ground to soon take his last breath.
