Bella paces her room impatiently as she awaits her lunch. The unlatching of locks is heard stalling Bella's movement. Raul enters the room with a eager smirk, delivering lunch to Bella but both Bella and Raul know there more too it besides the aroma of food. Raul sets the platter on the nightstand, before turning to Bella.
"Miss Bella I have something important to tell you." says Raul quietly.
Bella stands there showing the crushed wire that her father placed in her room. Rauls eyes widened in disbelief.
"Miss Bella, it's about Cooper." says Raul apprehensively
"Just out with it." Bella says abruptly
Raul grabs the hidden note from the platter, and hands it to Bella. Bella opens it quickly to read the message from the man her heart beats for.
Dear, Bella
I wish things could be different, but sadly as it pains me to say this. Your fathers right, you deserve so much better then me. I came here to help the orphanage that raised me stay open and now that ive accomplished that objective. I regret to tell you I'm leaving tomorrow for Australia with the money your father promised me. I will never forget you and if there was a way for you to come with me, believe me I would be for it. I will never forget you Bella.

Bella drops the letter and slowly begins to cry. Raul comforts her by embracing her, pulling her in tight with a fatherly love.
"There there Bella." says Rauls comforting the weeping Bella.
Rauls looks at Bella's face as he wipes away the tears rolling down her cheeks.
"If only there was a way for me to escape." whimpers Bella
Like a static bolt of electricity turning on a light bulb, Raul realizes what must be done. He grabs Bella by the shoulders looking into her watered blueish eyes.
"Miss Bella, I can help you escape." claims Raul
Bella, intrigued by this claim, suddenly stops her tears and clears her throat.
"How?" she asks weakly
"Don't worry about that, I will figure that out. Just have your bag and passport ready and wait for my note tonight for dinner." explains Raul
Raul turns towards the door with a new enthused pace, but before leaving the room he is stopped by Bella.
"Wait Raul, why would you do this for me?" Bella asks curiously
Raul takes a deep breath as he gazes upon Bella's natural beauty. He caressed her cheek, looking deep into her eyes, as if he was peering into her soul.
"I've watched you grow so much Miss Bella... Watching you grow has been the highlight of my life, and I will not see your growth stop here." says Raul with a proud tone as tears form lightly in his eyes.
Raul opens the bedroom door and exits as the sounds of locks latching closed once again reminds Bella of her current status, but now there is something else she hasn't felt in a long time. HOPE!
Bella begins packing her clothes and makes sure she has her passport and some cash she has secretly hid and saved over the years. She begins going through her torn bedroom looking for only the most important items she needs. She believes she has everything till she sees the photo of her and her mother. She grabs the frame and looks upon the picture and lets off a smile. She takes the photo out of the frame and puts it into her bag. She is ready, now all that's left to do is wait and hope that Raul comes through this evening with a plan.
Bella starfishes on her bed as she replays all the moments of her and Cooper in her mind. She sighs with a slight hope that she will be able to finally be free and love the man she loves without hiding anything. She can envision her entire life with Cooper, a dream that's just a dream at the moment.
Seconds feel like hours, Hours feel like eternities as Bella waits impatiently in her prison-like bedroom. Finally, the sound she's been waiting for all day as evening draws near. The sound of locks once again unlatching. Raul enters the room with a stoic posture, as he silently leaves Bella's platter of food on the bed. He grabs the notes from inside and hands it to Bella. He signals with his finger to his lips for Bella to be quiet before turning around and leaving. Bella waits for her door to be locked before opening the note. A short brief not written in all capital letters.
