Alastor's POV

After the stupid long day, Adam takes me back to his house. He gently shoves me into his room and shuts the door. He pulls out one of his shirts, which are large on me, and throws it at me. It's a black band shirt. I don't know what band though. Do I care? No.

"Put it on and get in the bed," Adam orders. I snap to change my clothes into the chosen outfit. I'm only wearing the shirt, boxers and the stupid collar. Adam changes into the same thing, but is wearing pants and no collar. I get into the bed, like his orders. Adam climbs on the other side. I take the hint that I'll be sleeping here, lay on my stomach, and close my eyes. I feel Adam's wing lay on my back. I let it be and don't say anything.

~Next Morning~

I wake up, stretch my arms and yawn quietly. I feel something wrapped around my waist tightly. I furrow my eyebrows and look down. Adam's arms are securing me close to him. His wing still spread out, covering most of me. Well isn't this just great.

I wiggle, only to be held tighter.

Ugh.

I manage to flip over, looking at Adam with an inch of space between us. I see his eyes fluttering open and he sees me. He immediately pushes me away and falls off the bed.

"What the fuck were you so close?!" He asks. "Creep." I am not a creep. Creeps aren't held involuntarily in their sleep.

"YOU were the one holding me there! Don't blame me!"

"I was not holding you. I would never hold you. Why would I do that?" I sigh, knowing I won't win this. Adam gets up from the floor and snaps his fingers. A poof of gold smoke surrounds him then disappears, revealing Adam wearing his normal dress. Well, according to him, it's not a dress. "We have a meeting today."

"What do you mean "we?" I have no business going to these."

"Well I'm not leaving you alone at home. And I'm allowed to bring a plus one. So you're coming. Lucifer Morning-short will be there." Adam rolls his eyes and fixes his hair. He snaps his fingers, changing me into a similar outfit I was in yesterday. Adam leaves the bedroom and I stand there for a second. I'm not very stoked about seeing Lucifer today.

I'd rather be shown a section of the sidewalk by Azrael, again, than meet Lucifer.

I sigh and walk out the room to search for Adam. I find him in the kitchen, pulling out leftovers (most likely from before I got here) and a fork. He takes a bite of whatever, I can't tell, before looking at me.

"You should brush your hair, freak. It's a mess." I know it's a mess. I should probably brush it. I run my fingers through it, hoping it did enough to pass as presentable. "That works too. I'm slowly liking you more and more, sinner."

~At the Meeting~

I sit awkwardly next to Adam on his own little ledge with Lute on the other side of me. A bunch of angels sit on their own ledges. If I didn't feel like I didn't belong before, I really feel like it now. Because I really don't belong. I then hear the doors open and my ears flicker towards the source of the sound. Lucifer walks in, looking professional and calm, but I can tell he is nervous and possibly even scared.

"Greetings, Lucifer. Glad you can make it," Sera says. Lucifer just nods. "You've all been called here today to talk about the last extermination and future advances about this. So I have heard the last extermination ended sooner than usual."

"Yeah? So what?" Adam says. Sera sighs, but continues.

"Adam almost broke a rule about harming the hellborn and Lucifer Morningstar's family. Charlotte Morningstar."

"Is Charlie okay?" Emily asks.

"Charlie is unharmed and well," Lucifer answers, which seems to put Emily at ease. Ah, I see, everything's clicking in place on the night of my kidnapping. Although I never cared what happened. "But I think something should be done. I wouldn't want this happening again and breaking our contract."

Sera nods and looks to Adam, it seems a final decision has been made in her mind.

"In the future, to avoid this happening again, Adam, I revoke your rights to be the exterminator's leader," she declares. Adam seems to snap back in reality.

"Wait! Hold on! What the actual fuck?!" He curses, slamming his fist onto the table. I tune out the rest of his  curses at Sera, thinking about the decision. Now this doesn't seem right at all. Adam technically did nothing wrong, contract wise. Murmuring and chatter filled the room.

"I have a few words in mind about this, may I speak them?" I ask loudly at Sera, shushing the room. I hear a gasp from Lucifer, who's probably just now noticing me. Now that everyone's attention is on me.

"You may."

"Now I am not one to defend someone such as Adam," I start, earning a "hey" from him. "Or defend the exterminations, as those aren't something I really agree to, but, this case seems entirely unfair. Adam technically has never broken a rule. As stated in your contract between Heaven and Hell for this extermination to continue, Adam and his band of exterminators must never harm a Hellborn or a Morningstar. Which they didn't. Lucifer Morningstar even stating his daughter, Charlotte Morningstar, was unharmed. It wouldn't be fair if Adam's role as their leader was terminated for absolutely no reason. While he had intentions, he's never actually done anything wrong."

The meeting room filled with chattering and murmuring again once I finished. I continue to look at Sera, seeing out of the corner of my eye Adam looking at her too hopefully. Sera thinks for a bit. Emily whispers to Sera, helping her come up with her final answer.

"Silence, everybody," Sera's voice booms. "I have come to final decision. Adam, you will stay as the leader of the exterminators. But, you must not ever go near the Hazbin Hotel in danger of harming Lucifer Morningstar's daughter. Understood?"

"Yes, Sera," Adam says. His voice having that joyful feeling in it. Like a child receiving candy from their parents.

"Does that work with you Lucifer?"

"Yes it does," Lucifer states, shrugging. He looks at me for a moment and stick out his tongue. The meeting concludes and Lucifer goes through a portal back to Hell. As soon as we leave the meeting room and the large castle it's in, Adam gives me a bone crushing hug. My ears go back at the sudden physical contact and bits of pain.

"You saved my fucking job!" He exclaims.

"Yeah yeah. It was nothing. Misuse of a contract always ticks me off." He doesn't set me down. He decides to walk back home, rather than fly, and carries me the whole way. I looked at Lute with the "help me" look, but she did nothing and flew away. Rude.
