CHARLOTTE was in the Record store with Haley and Lucas in an attempt to cheer her up from the previous night, which was sort of working.
"Hey, did you ever hear of UHF or Lucero?" Haley asked holding two CD's in both hands.
"Yeah, UHF. Uh, they're from Portland, right? Yeah they're good. Um, oh, Lucero. They're great." Lucas responded peaking over to look at the CD's.
"Luke, has anyone said you ramble on a lot." Charlotte questioned, but she followed her eyes to where both friends were looking which was at the door of the store, when she turned her head she came to find Nathan.
"You okay?" Lucas whispered.
"Yeah, I can handle it.." she gave Lucas a quick glance of approval before turning to face the other Scott boy that looked like he was in desperate need to talk to her.
"I called your house earlier. Colin said you were here." He slowly approached.
"Crap, I'll be sure to lie to him next time." She sarcastically responded, still refusing to hold eye contact.
"Look, I don't know that Brooke read that note, okay. I didn't even know there was a note until later. I wouldn't do that to you." He explained.
"Okay."
"Great, so,.. cool?" He hesitantly asked.
"No, we're really not." She said finally turning to face him.
"Well, you believe me, right?" He continued to push, still desperate for forgiveness.
"Yeah, I do believe you're sorry." She dryly answered.
"Well, then, what.." He confusedly rambled, he let out a scoff confused on what he needed to do to make things right, better yet to make her talk to him properly.
"Look, this whole tutoring, hanging out, whatever it is thing.. It's just a bad idea. I'm done, just done." She said removing herself from the conversation, walking out of the store.

Charlotte was bussing empty tables at the Cafe when she heard the door open, someone she didn't want to see walked in, Brooke.
"We're closed." Charlotte firmly said.
"Oh, I get it. Closed to me. I don't blame you. I'd be a bitch to me too, after last night." Brooke positively replied.
"Knock yourself out." She put the rag down on the table moving to a table for two so both of them could sit.
"You're feisty! I see what Nathan likes about you. Look, you're blaming Nathan for something that I did, and that's not fair. Okay, I was drunk, and I was pissed and I found your note, and you know the rest. And I want to make it up to you, Charlotte."
