~"It Was All A Lie"~
It was only a short while that Buck was with Tommy, laughing here and there, going on walks between shifts and cooking quite the extraordinary food.
Their times together have been lovely, although Buck noticed moments of Tommy's absence of care, his comments dry as well as his opinions.
They've been mostly stated as matter of fact, which left Buck speechless for replies and opinions of his own.
But he guesses that's just how Tommy grew up to be, especially with his time in the 118 with Gerrard being Captain back then.
No comments or backtalk about questionable leading allowed, if you weren't with Gerrard, you weren't with the 118.
Tonight was a special night, Buck had grabbed both of them a seat at a nice restaurant and just wants to relax and maybe make something official.
He'd been committed to it all, getting to know Tommy and what he likes, giving him tiny little presents here and there.
He'd dressed up in the nicest suit he owns, for this occasion.
He was all the more happy to see Tommy walk in and join him at the table, he greets him with a quick hug, not afraid of others seeing him, "Hey! You're here, how was your shift?"
Tommy barely hugs him back, hands just on his shoulder for a brief moment before he sits down, pouring himself a glass of beer, "Not that great, really. However it's almost every day like this, the only good thing is being up in the air."
Buck nods, taking a look at the menu. He'd figured this answer since it's the only thing Tommy had said about his work days ever since two weeks ago.
It was like somebody turned a switch on the man.
Little cuddle times were cut short or didn't even happen at all, loving gestures on either side slowly died down. He just hoped it was due to work.
Other attempts at conversation really left Buck to hope Tommy would say more, than just optimal and short replies, which seemed to carelessly have been thrown in mid-sentences.
Over time he slouches and when the food arrived, both kindly dig in.
However Buck hesitates to finish his plate, having heard Tommy complain a bit about Buck gaining weight. What can he say? He was happy and delicious food, especially with Bobby's recipes, he does dig in a lot.
Tommy looks up from his meal, "You're barely eating. Is everything okay?" His question sounded more like a fact.
Buck nods, "Yeah, everything okay. Just figured I'm not that hungry."
Tommy nods, "That's okay."

"Are you happy?" Eddie asks, wiping the metal of the engine to make sure it really is shiny.
Buck is up top on the huge truck, making sure the electrical systems are good to go, "Yeah! Why wouldn't I be? Tommy's great, we go on date nights, we talk, give little gifts every now and again-
