~A Bad Decision~

"I'm home!" Buck calls, placing down his work bag by the door. He stretches out his back and makes his way into the living room, where Eddie and Chris are enjoying some father-son time.

"Hey guys,"  Buck smiles brightly, giving Chris the biggest hug he could muster up, wiggling him around just the tiniest bit, before setting him down and leaning over to give Eddie a kiss.

"Hey you," Eddie smiles back at him, scooting over so Buck has some space on the couch as well, putting his feet up on the coffee table.  Eddie wraps his arm around him, "How was work?"

Buck shrugs, "The usual, however Chim did make a kid cry."

Eddie snorts, "How did he do that? He is a father now, so one would figure he'd know how to not make kids cry."

Buck laughs, "He made a puppet out of a glove in the ambulance and blew it up too much, put it aside to work on the kid a bit and before the kid would even register a needle for a shot, Chimney popped the balloon with it- right in the kids hands."

Eddie does snort again, however it does evolve into laughter, "Yeah that would happen to me too."

Buck sneaks up his fingers to run through Eddie's hair, humming, "How was your day? Your special father-son day?"  He looks over to Christopher with a big smile.

Chris smiles even bigger than Buck does, "It was amazing!  We had nice breakfast-"

"You're welcome," Buck whispers into Eddie's ear.

"-and then we went to the hair salon, I got my hair cut!  And, and then we went to the park and I climbed the monkey bar!"

"No way!" Buck is overly excited, leaning forward as Chris talks about his day with Eddie, who is just sitting there with the proudest face.

He'd let his kid have a normal day at a park and playground, eating ice cream and having some outdoor junk-food for dinner.  And candy as dessert.

He did worry that the cold temperatures from outside would be too much for Chris' immune system, however he seemed just fine.  He did wrap him in several cozy layers and got him to shower off the sweat once they got home.

All three are in front of the tv, playing a video game for some time before Christopher is eventually told to go to bed.

Defeated, yet tired, he nods and makes his way up to the bathroom to get himself ready by thoroughly brushing his teeth.  If he didn't, he knew his father was going to make him do it again: Because sugar destroys the teeth.

Buck pats Eddie's shoulder, "You had a rough day, relax I'll take him to bed," he muses, getting up and making his way to Chris' bedroom.

"Says the one that was actually at work!" Eddie shouts back, laughing afterwards. He does love that Buck does do that for him, relaxing again on the couch as he waits for Buck to come back.

Buck enters the room, seeing Chris crawl into the bed all on his own and tuck himself in.

"You good for some sleep?" he asks, sitting down on the bed and tucking the rest of the blanket for Chris, who lays down with the biggest yawn.

"Yeah.." His tiredness from the day has finally creeped up on him and Christopher snuggles himself into the blankets, being engulfed in comforting warmth.
