Chapter 9: An Awful Lot Happens

Sonya and Kitana ran to the others.
"We got Tanya, Smoke's a little injured, but he'll be fine!" Sub-Zero said. "The rest left. It's just me, you and Sonya."
"Let's go then," Sonya said, jumping through the portal. Sub-Zero and Kitana kissed and then jumped through the portal. When they got through, all three ran to hospital wing, where the others were. "Kitana!" Jade and Tanya shouted in unison. She gracefully ran towards the two and hugged them. Behind them Mileena was talking to Skarlet, Noob and Scorpion. Jade ran back to the hospital bed, where Kitana saw Smoke laying limp holding Jade's hand. "What happened? To Smoke?" Kitana asked.
"I'm not sure, first I was looking at him and he was fine, but then..he was down," Jade said.
"It's gotta be Kabal," Skarlet said. "Whilst working briefly with the black dragon group, I met him. He was a full of himself cop who'd been fried by Kintaro and that's why he has a mask,"
"We can't get him though, he'll be protected, by Shao Kahn," Mileena said. "We were before the battle,"

Kitana left the hospital wing, leaving Jade with Smoke. Her and Sub-Zero (plus Johnny and Sonya) went to Burger Emperor on a double date. Whilst eating Sonya spoke "Ya'know one day I'd love to work in Special Forces, it'd be so cool!" Johnny nodded in agreement.
"I'd like to be the grandmaster of the lin kuei," Sub-Zero said.
"I just wanna adventure, maybe be part of Special Forces too!" Kitana said. A man walked into Burger Emperor, wearing a bandage over his eyes and wielding a sword on his back.
"Kenshi!" Johnny shouted. "Over here!"
"Johnny, no time long see... or is it long time no see?" Kenshi asked.
"Er yeah! Sure!" Johnny replied. Kitana was unsure about Kenshi but she'd give him the benefit of the doubt.

Afterwards Kitana headed to her dorm and when she walked into her room Tanya was watching Tv.
"Kitana!" Tanya said.
"Yeah," Kitana said.
"Edenia, it's.. destroyed,"
