Having Detention

Harry Potter:

You and Harry were trudging down the dimly lit corridor toward Professor McGonagall's office, where you were to serve your detention. The air was thick with a mixture of apprehension and mischief. Despite the situation, you couldn't help but glance sideways at Harry, whose messy hair and serious expression only added to his endearing charm.

"How did we get ourselves into this mess?" you asked, trying to keep the mood light.

Harry shrugged, a hint of a smile tugging at his lips. "I think we made a bit too much noise in the library. We're lucky it was just detention and not something worse."

You laughed softly. "Yeah, I suppose we should be grateful. Though, I'm sure McGonagall is not going to be too pleased with us. What do you think she'll have us do?"

Harry shrugged again. "Probably something boring, like cleaning out the trophy room or sorting through old paperwork. We'll just have to make the best of it."

As you approached the office, Harry reached out and took your hand, giving it a reassuring squeeze. The familiar warmth of his touch calmed your nerves. When you knocked and were beckoned inside, you found Professor McGonagall at her desk, looking over her glasses with an air of stern authority.

"Potter, Weasley," she said, her voice brooking no nonsense. "I trust you understand why you're here?"

"Yes, Professor," Harry said, stepping forward.

You nodded, though you kept your gaze fixed on the floor. "We understand."

Professor McGonagall's expression softened slightly, though her tone remained firm. "Good. Your task tonight is to assist Mr. Filch in reorganizing the storage closet. It's a rather tedious job, but I expect it to be done thoroughly."

You and Harry exchanged glances. It wasn't the worst punishment, but it certainly wasn't going to be fun.

"Understood, Professor," you said, your voice steady.

"Off you go then," she said, dismissing you with a wave of her hand.

You and Harry made your way to the storage closet, which was tucked away in a rarely used part of the castle. As you opened the door, you were greeted by a cluttered mess of old, dusty objects. You sighed, but Harry's playful grin made you chuckle.

"Looks like we've got a long night ahead of us," he said, grabbing a dusty box and setting it aside.

"Yeah," you replied, picking up a few stray items and examining them. "But at least we're in this together."

As you worked side by side, you found yourselves laughing and joking, making the best of the situation. The evening turned into a small adventure, and despite the monotony of the task, you were grateful for the time spent with Harry. It was moments like these that reminded you why you cared so deeply for him.

Ron Weasley:

The day had started like any other, but by the time it was over, I found myself dreading the after-school detentions. Snape's detentions were notorious for being long and tedious, and today had proven no different. I had been assigned to organize an entire cupboard full of potion ingredients, a task that seemed endless and monotonous. Every jar and bottle had to be labeled and placed just so. By the end of it, my fingers were stained with various potion residues, and my back ached from bending over the shelves.

As if that wasn't enough, the common room was abuzz with whispers about Ron and Harry's detention with Umbridge. They had been caught trying to sneak into the Forbidden Forest for a bit of adventure, and Umbridge had given them an equally grueling punishment—cleaning every inch of the Trophy Room, a task that they would be working on for hours.
