Gone

Vaggie's POV:

Lucifer ran to Alastor's side, but my mind was more focused on Charlie, who was silently glaring at her father and Alastor. She just looked.......evil.
I couldn't even begin to describe the hatred in her eyes.
I heard the clatter of my spear falling to the ground suddenly. I didn't even realize I let go of it, and I didn't try to pick it up. I just kept my eyes on Charlie.

BANG
Charlie disappeared in the same green smoke that Lilith did. I coughed at the smell.
What......
The.......
Fuck........
Happened.........

First, Lilith of all people attacks and somehow controlled Alastor. Now Charlie is gone too?

I sighed and shook my head, trying to process things. I looked over at Husk and Angel. Husk's eyes were wide with a mixture of shock and fear. Angel had a hand on husk's back. The other of his three hands were being used to hold Niffty back from running over to Al' and Lucifer.
I walked over to them. Husk didn't seem to notice, but Angel looked over at me; his face solemn, which was something rarely seen from him. I reached out and took a screaming Niffty from his hands. I looked back at Lucifer and Alastor. So did Angel.

I couldn't see Alastor since he was on the other side of Lucifer, but I could tell by the look on Lucifer's face something was wrong. What was it?

Lucifer's POV:

I had squatted down to Alastor's height. His shoulders were shaking from him crying. I couldn't see his face; his hands were covering it.
"Al.....?" I said softly, putting a hand on his shoulder, which he just shrugged off
I looked behind me at the others, who seemed just as worried as I.
When I looked back, my eyes met Alastor's wide, red eyes. There were tears falling down his cheeks. I'd never seen him cry before. It was..odd. But not as odd as it was too see him without a smile.
His face looked strangely blank without that sneering smile he always wore.
Alastor looked away again.
I watched him stand up on shaky legs and stumble over to his corner. I didn't argue.

Maybe he needs to be left alone.
The others seemed to understand not to bother him too, because even Niffty had gone still. I let out a deep sigh and walked over to them.
Vaggie opened her mouth, but I shook my head. I glanced back at all.
"G'night, Allie...." I said.
I turned back to the others and nodded my head towards the stairs. They understood.
I led them up to the library on the second floor, making sure to close the door behind us so Alastor wouldn't be bothered by us talking.
Angel was the first to speak.

Angel: "What happened?"
Me: "I...don't know.
Vaggie: "Shit, Lucifer. She's your ex wife, and he's your fiance! How did you not know?"
Angel: "Not know what?"
Husk: "Lilith..owns Al's soul...doesn't she?"

Husk looked up at me with a sad look on his face. I nodded.
Me: "I think.....that's what happened. But that still doesnt explain why my daughter is gone or why Lilith attacked."
Vaggie: "I hope Charlie is ok..."
Me: "She's strong, you know that. She'll be fine."

To be honest I had no idea if Charlie would be fine, but Vaggie needed reassurance, so that's what I gave.
Me: "He wasn't smiling. I've never seen him not smile."
Husk: "That bitch was probably controlling him. Making him smile constantly. And now he's probably not gonna be able to talk for who knows how long."
Angel: "What? Why can't he talk?"

Husk looked at Angel.
Husk: "Think about it. He's been smoking non-stop for over 8 years straight. He's probably gotten used to talking with that smile, and has forgotten how to talk without it. Not to mention his face is probably is pain from getting rid of that smile after having it for so long. His muscles probably don't work right."

I looked at me feet. I hadn't thought of that. Vaggie clenched her fists weakly. I think it was more of an act of confusion rather than anger.
Vaggie: "Shit......"
Me: "Lets just...go to bed. Figure out what to do in the morning."

Vaggie looked up and her eyes narrowed.
Vaggie: "My girlfriend is missing and you want me to go to sleep!? Really!?"

Angel put a hand on her shoulder but Vaggie slapped him away.
Me: "I know, I know. But what do you want me to do about it? We can't do anything, not yet at least. So let's just get some rest and calm down."
Vaggie: "Don't you care that Charlie is gone!? Don't you care that she's probably with some psycho who might kill her any second!?"
Me: "Of course I care! Shes my daughter! But I can't risk dyeing, or letting any of you die because she chose Lilith. I can't."

I turned and walked out the door before she could reject. I heard Angel and Husk going to the elevator behind me, but I never heard Vaggie. Niffty on the other hand was following right beside my feet. I tripped over her a couple times in fact. For some reason she had her mind set on cleaning me and Al's room. Right not, not tomarrow, not later. Now. I closed the door behind me and locked it before Niffty could follow me in, hoping she didn't care enough to go and find the key in the lobby desk.
I guess she didn't because I heard her giggling and running down the hall, which I assume was her chasing a bug.

I plopped down on the bed. Al' could just teleport in if he wanted to come in, so I didn't bother to unlock the door. I doubt he'll come to bed anyways; he usually doesn't when he's stressed. And this was probably the most stressed I'd every seen Alastor.
I closed my eyes and tried my best to fall asleep.
