Lucifer's POV:
No one has ever seen Al' look so down. Even if he was still smiling and making bad jokes any moment he could get, there was still something off about him. He had been eating less and less. He was getting skinnier than he's ever been. He hasn't even turned on his radio in over a week!
I don't know what it is, but something is up. At first I thought he was worried I'd get back with Lilith and leave him behind, but it seems worse than just a little jealousy. I've tried so many times to get him to open up to me, but it's always the same answer, "Oh, I'm fine, dear. Don't worry about me." Why couldn't he just talk like anyone else, hell I'd rather it if he would fucking cry or, scream, or kill someone just to show his emotions. Well, maybe not the last one.
The elevator gave a little ding when I reached the first floor and the doors opened. I walked out and to the lobby, still in my pajamas. I usually wouldn't be up right now but I'd heard Alastor get up and was going to try and drag him back to bed. Even if he wasn't going to go to sleep, he should still rest whether he likes it or not.
Al was sitting criss-cross in his spot on the floor with, yet again, a book in his hands. I walked over and squatted down in front of him, taking the book out of his hands.
He looked up, his eyes bored and unexpressive. His face was pale, even for him and he had dark circles under his eyes from lack of sleep.
I sighed and put a hand on his cheek. He surprisingly didn't move away from the touch.
"Allie..c'mon. It's 2 in the morning." I whispered, the others were still asleep and I didn't want to wake them.
"I'm not tired."
"Yes you are, you just won't admit it. And either way, you're going back to bed. That's final." I raised my voice slightly, not enough to scare him, just enough to show I wasn't backing down.
He stayed silent, just staring. His eyes flicker to something behind me and his ears lowered. I noticed and turned around. Lilith was watching us with a small smirk on her face.
"Well, well, well....Up already?" She said, not even bothering to keep her voice low.
"Shhhh. Everyone is asleep. And we were just about to go back to bed."
She rolled her eyes. I could here a faint static-buzz from Alastor.
Lilith took a few steps closer, her heels making a loud 'clank' with every step.
"I don't think so...." She said a little too calmly.
Alastor pressed himself against the wall. His body was tense.
Lilith took a few steps closer and a staff, one just like mine but without the snake, appeared at her hands.
I never figured out what she was going to do with it, because here came Angel strolling out of the elevator with his pig in his hands.
"Fuckin' shut up, will ya? It's too early for this. "
Lilith turned to him and smiled. The eeriness in her voice disappeared. "Oh, sorry for waking you up. I was just telling these two that they should still be in bed."
I was just about to interject, but Alastor put a shaky hand on my arm. I glances back at him then looked back at Lilith and Angel, giving a small nod.
Angel shrugged and went back to the elevator, cooing something along the lines of "don't worry about them, they just a lil' crazy," to Fat Nuggets.Lilith's POV:
I strode up the stairs back to the room Charlie had let me stay in. My mind was racing. I had almost got caught. Luckily that idiot fallen angel was too weak to interget and let me put the blame on them. I wasn't too worried about being caught though, I had gained the trust of almost everyone at this stupid hotel.
As I opened the door to the room I took a deep breath. Everything was going according to plan.Tomarrow.
That's when I strike.I smell a cliffhangerrr. Thanks for reading and see you next time!
