"Where are you going layne?" My mother's voice stopped me in my tracks.
Um.....
"I'm going to see ny" I spoke nibbling on the skin of my lips. She stared at me suspiciously before fanning me off and turning on her heel.
Rolling my eyes I turned around to continue my journey to the door when I was stopped yet again.
"You're not leaving the house" This time it was my father who spoke in his usual rough tone.
"What?" My brows frowned as I turned to look at him.
"Yuh hear weh mi seh"
I genuinely cannot wait until I turn 18 to escape this hell hole.
"But dad-"
"Mi seh yuh nah guh look fi dah gyal deh" His voice gradually getting louder.
My brows frowned.
"Who are you addressing as gyal? My brothers girlfriend?" I questioned.
I may not be going to look for Ny'Ava but who's he to be calling my sister inlaw a gyal?
I'm telling Jay.
Same.
"Weh yah guh duh bout it?" He taunted titling his head to the side.
"You cannot be serious" I was beyond shock at this point.
I always knew he was a disgusting human both mine and Jay's reason for hating his guts but I never knew he was also mentally ill.
"I'm leaving" I shook my head with a scoff turning on me heel once more continuing to walk to the door.
"Doh come back inna mi house!" I heard him yell.
Oh he don't gotta worry about dat.
Sometimes I gotta wonder if he's my dad forreal.
I know he isn't Jay's real dad since my mother has two different baby dads. My brother's father isn't around so my mom gave my brother, my father's last name.
