"We live or die
To take the throne"

"Oh for fuck sake, will people stop kidnapping me!"
Nylana Herondale groaned as she stood up from her spot. Small drops of blood dripped down the side of her face from where she'd been hit on the head, along with the headache to accompany it. Her hands were tied together as tightly as Nyla assumed the werewolves could muster.
She knew they were werewolves because she knew she was in the Jade Wolf. She prayed that Luke was around but she doubted he was.
As Nyla spun around, a voice called out her name. Her eyes fell upon Simon, who was upside down hanging from the ceiling.
"Simon!" Nyla gasped. "What happened?"
"Some guy tied me up and is holding Clary hostage out there," Simon rambled. "They knocked you out and dragged you, something about you using magic and tied you up too."
"Don't worry, Simon, everything will be fine," Nyla assured. "Let me help you."
"How?" Simon pouted out.
He struggled for a moment before the chains broke from his hands and he managed to flip back to the ground. Nyla's mouth parted in shock and suspicion before her mind clicked her back into the mode of getting out of this place.
"Phone Jace then get these off me," Nyla demanded.
"Right, right," Simon mumbled, fumbling with his phone and dialling Jace. "
"Hello?" Jace's voice echoed.
"Oh, I thought I'd never utter these words, but thank God it's you. It's me, Simon."
"Where are you? Where's Clary and Nyla?"
"I don't know. Some Chinese restaurant, I think? This cop Alaric arrested us, but it was a total fake-out. Him and his buddy, they took us and Nyla..." Simon began.
"Simon, put the phone to my ear," Nyla demanded.
"Hello?" Jace questioned after the moment of silence.
"Jace, It's Nyla. We're at the Jade Wolf, it's the werewolves," Nyla explained. "I can't get out us of here without you, I don't know how many there are and I can't protect Simon and Clary if I'm fighting them."
"Create a diversion," Jace replied.
"Copy, hurry up," Nyla demanded.
Jace's decisive click ended the call, leaving a palpable tension in the air. Nyla stoically allowed Simon to carefully untie her bound hands, her gaze never leaving his restless eyes. With a sense of urgency, she directed him to start a fire, offering reassurance that she would shield him from any danger that may arise. Yet, despite her outward composure, Nyla couldn't shake the gnawing intuition that Simon was concealing something significant. His extraordinary display of parkour skills and inexplicable ease in breaking free from the chains hinted at an underlying abnormality that she couldn't quite unravel.
