Sthembiso's POV:
I was with the squad chilling with the girl I met at the mall.
She was spicy hot!
Her head rested carefully on my thighs as we kept on making jokes.
For a moment, my ears started ringing.
I felt a sharp pain in my stomach.
Amahle: "Is everything okay?"
Tyler: "Yeah, boy. You look dizzy?"
I stood up and reassured them that I was okay.
I walked out of the room and headed to the bathroom.
I was familiar with Siya's place so I knew every room but then I met up with this door.
It was dark and full of whispers.
It lured me in.Dark and heavy black energy was behind the door, but I was too drunk to understand. For a second, my hand reached the knob and turned it open. My body did the walking and led me in.
It was pitch black. I couldn't see anything.
My hand traced the wall to look for the switch.
Within seconds the door shut.
Sthe: "The heck?"
A slithering sound made its way to my ears. I felt a cold and heavy object move up my legs and onto my body.
I became sober.
I wanted to scream for help but my body wouldn't let me.
My feet kicked it multiple times but it didn't budge.
It made its way to my throat. Strangling me with power. I couldn't breathe. My veins popped and my skin became red. I couldn't see it, but I felt it.
This was it.
The lady told me. Siya's family was onto something.
They wanted to kill me.
My eyes rolled back and I fell onto the ground.
----------------------------------------------------
Birds chirping and the sound of a waterfall was nearby.
I woke up to see a beautiful forest.
Full of animals and wildlife.
There was a farm nearby.
I walked up to it to get some help.
As I arrived, I knocked on the door.
It smelled like bacon and eggs, with a dash of garlic bread and freshly squeezed orange juice. A young lady with a beautiful body hummed a song, a song that my mother used to sing to me when I was a baby. Her back faced me and I let myself in.
She continued to hum the song.
I patted her back.
Sthe: "Hey..."
A frown settled on my face. It was Slee. She had no expression on her face. She kept on chopping her finger. I tried stopping her but she wouldn't move.
I looked for a phone. To call the ambulance or the police.
I was panting and out of breath.
As I was running around the house like a madman. My eyes settled upon a baby. It was a boy. Dressed in all white. He looked just like me. A mini version on Sthembiso Zulu.
His eyes and cheeks looked like Slee's. His lips were carved into perfection. He was beautiful.
I wanted to take him and run away with him.
He was sleeping peacefully in his car seat.
Before I could lift him, Slee pushed me out of the way.
Her fingers dripped in blood. She was wearing a ring, a beautiful diamond ring that cost fortunes.
Her eyes were full of tears and sorrow.
Slee: "Take him and run away. Don't look back, Zulu. This is our only heir. They took all of them."
Sthe: "Our only heir? Slee, what are you talking about? Who took them?"
Slee: "They TOOK THEM AWAY FROM ME!"
Her hair turned into water and her hands started freezing.
Her voice grew louder and louder.
Slee: "TAKE HIK WITH YOU AND NEVER LOOK BACK!"
Her eyes turned icy blue.
She didn't have to tell me twice.
I unbuckled the baby from his car seat and ran away. I was out of breath. I didn't dare to look back.
We finally stopped and rested near a rock. What the heck was going on?
Three old ladies approach me.
Ist lady: "You took him already."
2nd lady: "You've saved the boy."
The ladies were smiling ear to ear and I was left with confusion.
Sthe: "Bogogo, is this my son?"
I barely whispered.
2nd lady: "Yebo mfana wami. You've saved him, the heir to the Zulu family."
I look down at my son. He was beautiful oh my.
The 3rd lady looked at me with nothing but pain and disgust.
Her face was full of anger.
While the other ladies were celebrating she came up to me.
3rd lady: "You've saved the child, but you left her with the dangerous snake in town."
Sthe: "Gogo?"
3rd lady: "I'm so disappointed. How could you leave her? You've done so many wrong things and now you will have to face the consequences. You are in danger."
She turns on her heels and leaves.
The other 2 were still celebrating and I couldn't help but smile with them.
The last lady's words stuck with me.
I left the baby with the 1st lady and ran to save her.
She was my wife. My wife was Slindokuhle Dlamini .
