→ PROLOGUE
SUNGHOON let out a heavy sigh while massaging his temple. His eyes are shut tightly, phone pressed against his ear while his grandfather is speaking in the other line.
"I am getting old, my grandson. " The old man stated. Sunghoon knew what he will say next, he can predict it. "I just want to see you to have someone already. "
"I don't want to die seeing you alone in life, my grandson. "
You're a very healthy man, grandpa. You won't die yet. Not anytime soon!
Sunghoon bite his bottom lip, glancing to the window of the van he is riding then let out a heavy sigh.
"You will not die, grandpa. " He chuckled when the old man groaned followed by a cough which Sunghoon could definitely tell was forced and fake. He shakes his head.
"You really don't want to fulfill my last wish! You really don't love your grandpa. "
He smiled, shaking his head. "I do love you, grandpa. "
"If you love me, you will fulfill my wish and have someone already. You're 28 years old already, grandson. When I was on your age, your dad is already three years old. I already have a fami- "
"Actually, " he interrupted. He didn't want to lie but since his grandpa doesn't stop pestering him about having someone already, he decided to put an end to it. He will lie. "I already have someone, grandpa. I'm already in a relationship. "
His grandfather wouldn't know. He is the type of person who doesn't go to social media. Plus he is in Canada and doesn't want to step foot in Korea.
Yeah, he won't know.
"Really?! " The old man beamed. His voice filled with happiness.
Sunghoon couldn't help but to feel guilty for lying yet he couldn't help but to add his lies. He hummed. "In fact, we're already engaged."
"That is a good news, grandson! " He can hear his grandfather laughing in bliss.
He hummed. "I know. "
"Well then, I want to meet her. " Before Sunghoon could utter a reply, the old man in the other line spoke once again.
"I will fly to Korea next week to meet her. See you soon with your partner, grandson. "
Sunghoon froze on his seat as the call ended.
