More Than Bestfriends?

Talk To Me

Fatima walked out the bathroom in a oversize t-shirt joining Zac who was now sitting on the edge of her bed on his phone, She walked over to the nightstand grabbing her phone before climbing into bed.

Turns off his phone "You ready to talk."

"Mhm" She answered looking down at her phone 

"Can you put your phone down so that I can have you undivided attention."

Places her phone on the bed 

"Before I start I just wanna say dime and I are not together she poped up in vegas but and I didn't even know she was coming."

"She asked for us to talk and for us together back together but I told her we'll talk when I get home cause I wasn't tryna have her mess up the last bit of my trip." Zac says resting his hand on her knee 

"If you guys spoke already what did you tell her."

"As soon as I landed back in Atlanta I texted her so we could have a conversation she replied the next day and we talked. I told her that i didn't want to get back with her anymore and that i wasn't happy." 

"Okay and why are you here now?"

"Fatima stop playing with me, you know why I'm here you need to drop that whole tough shit because we won't get anywhere if i'm the only one trying here."

"What do you want me to say huh!, that we got drunk and had sex and stronger feeling developed."

"Yes! i want you to be honest and tell me how you feel." Zac said slightly annoyed 

Fatima looked up at the ceiling trying to find her words Zac saw that she was having a hard time so her started to rub her thighs 

"Talk to me that's all I'm asking for."

"Zac I don't know, like I do have feeling for you and it's been like that for a while now but i never acted on it until vegas and its kind of weird because we've been friends for so long."

"So you know me like the back of your hand but I knew how of an amazing person/boyfriend you are I couldn't tell you how I feel knowing that I wasn't ready to be in a relationship I won't do that to you." 

"You said you wasn't ready for a relationship does that mean that you changed your mind."

"I'm still trying to figure it out."

"Can I ask you a question."

"Sure."

"Why won't you get into another relationship i haven't seen you in one since you were seventeen." 

Lifting her head so that the tears that was on the edge of her eyelids wouldn't fall.

"Cause my heart can't take losing someone I love again, it hurts Zac that's why I never form a connection on a deeper level with anyone it's my way of preventing myself from getting hurt in any kind of way." Fatima shared as tears drops from her eyes rapidly 

Zac placed a kiss on her lip as the tears stream down her face, he placed his index finger under her chin lifting her head so that her eyes could meet his.

"I'm not leaving you ever and I mean that from the bottom of my heart you stuck with me the same way I'm stuck with you I want you to know that." 

"You can't say that we don't know what is to come a few years from now."

"We don't but that doesn't mean I'll just give up without a fight."

Fatima never said anything so he pulled her into a hug rubbing her back as he continues to speak.
