Arna finally finished all her work and felt a wave of relief. Today was the wedding day, and she knew that tomorrow she would get her payment. Priya nudged her playfully, saying, "Can't we move to the food section and eat something?" Arna laughed and replied, "We've done so much for this wedding. I think we've earned it." Priya grinned, and the two of them made their way to the grand hall's food section.
Arna picked up a pani puri, eagerly popping it into her mouth in one swift motion. She was enjoying the moment when she noticed Rudra on the other side of the hall, watching her intently. Despite the tension of the day, he couldn't help but let out a small laugh. His uncle's worried murmurs filled the background: "What are we going to do now?"
Without much thought, Rudra made his way to the stage, grabbed the microphone, and with a clear, commanding voice, announced, "Today is a very good day as it's my marriage with my fiancée, Ms. Arna Shekhawat."
Arna, completely unaware of the announcement, continued enjoying her pani puri, oblivious to the sudden shift in the room's atmosphere. She only noticed when Rudra pointed directly at her with a serious expression, and the entire crowd turned their attention towards her. Confused, she glanced over her shoulder, only to see Priya, equally stunned, staring at her.
"Maine kya Kiya sorry, sorry kya hua"
Arna stood frozen, the pani puri halfway to her mouth, her body going rigid like a statue. Priya shook her gently, snapping her out of her daze. "What happened?" Arna asked, still disoriented.
Priya, her voice barely a whisper, said, "Rudra sir just announced that you are going to be his bride."
Arna's eyes widened in shock, and the pani puri plate slipped from her grasp, crashing to the floor. The sound echoed through the hall, but she was too stunned to notice, her mind racing to catch up with the unexpected twist.
Arna stuttered in disbelief, "Me? Right? What? Sorry, this isn't the right time for jokes." She glanced around, hoping this was some sort of misunderstanding. But Rudra, with a determined look, made his way through the crowd, gently grabbed her hand, and led her up to the stage."What are you talking about, Arna?" Rudra said, his voice filled with a mix of urgency and sincerity. "I've always loved you, you know that? How can you say this? Why are you joking, Arna?"
Arna pulled her hand back and made a weird face, utterly bewildered. "What? You love me? Love? Did you just say the word 'love'? You!" She looked him up and down, her expression twisting in disgust. "Yuck! That word doesn't even sound good coming from your mouth."
Rudra's confident demeanor faltered, taken aback by her harsh response, and the room fell into an awkward silence, everyone holding their breath, waiting for what would happen next.
After greeting the crowd, Arna and Rudra retreated to a private room. The moment the door closed behind them, Arna pulled her hand away from Rudra's grip. "What have you done? What are you trying to do?" she demanded, her voice laced with frustration. "You don't even listen! Do you have any idea what could happen?" she shouted, her emotions boiling over.
