The night was still, and the house lay cloaked in shadows as I carefully opened my bedroom door, praying no one would hear me. The dim glow from the hallway was my only guide as I slipped down the corridor, heart pounding with every step. I knew the guards' usual rounds, so I had planned my escape around their shifts, moving silently to avoid any creaky spots on the floor.

I finally reached the back staircase, a narrow, unused passage that led down to the courtyard. Wrapping my shawl around my face and shoulders to blend with the night, I pushed open the heavy door and stepped outside. The cool night air hit my skin, making me shiver, but I steeled myself. Just a little further and I'd be free of this place.

Moving swiftly, I slid past the shadows of the guard's post, barely breathing as I watched them look in the other direction. Just as I rounded the last corner, I spotted Priya waiting in a dark corner by the bakery van. She waved, her face partially hidden beneath her scarf.

"You made it!" she whispered, pulling me into a quick hug.

"Let's hurry before anyone notices," I whispered back, glancing nervously over my shoulder.

Together, we climbed into the van, and Priya drove us down the empty, silent streets. It felt surreal to be out in the world again, even if it was under these circumstances. We reached the bakery, and it looked eerily different with the "For Sale" sign looming large over the entrance. It stung to see my dreams reduced to a mere advertisement.

Priya and I hurried inside, our footsteps echoing softly. We headed straight to the hidden storage room behind the bakery's main counter-a place I had once discovered while reorganizing supplies. Inside, the faint smell of sugar and spices lingered, a comforting reminder of everything I had poured into this place.

I could feel my heart racing as I ran my fingers over the old floorboard we'd hidden our secrets beneath. With a determined tug, we lifted it, revealing a box beneath. Inside, letters, old receipts, and documents lay in a mess.

As I sifted through the dusty shelves, I remembered that the last time I'd been here, I hadn't found everything. I'd missed something significant-something hidden by the man I'd called "father" my whole life. But now, that truth had been shattered. The man i grew up believing was my father wasn't my real father after all.

With each item I moved aside, my heart pounded. The revelation that someone else, possibly Neeraj Rajvansh, could be my real father made me even more determined to uncover the secrets hidden here. It felt surreal-unimaginable even-that the story of my life might be entirely different from what I 'd known.

As I dug further, I wondered if there were records or letters that might confirm this unsettling truth. My hands trembled, driven by a strange mix of fear, anger, and hope. Tonight, I was determined to find whatever had hidden here-anything that might finally give my the answers I needed.

As I held the diary, its worn pages whispering stories of the past, a shiver ran down my spine. The last time I was here, I'd found an entry about the daughter of Neeraj Rajvansh, and those words had lingered in my mind, refusing to let me go. Now, with Priya here, I felt a strange sense of urgency, a need to know more.
