A/N There is (an attempt) at smut in this chapter. It is the first I have written so it isn't oo much nor heavily detailed but nevertheless a warning for anyone wanting one.

"Bucky, I don't know what the fuck to do." Steve exclaimed through the phone as he waited patiently for his food to arrive.

"Hold on-, there is no other way to get any ideas through your thick skull otherwise. I'll be home in five." Bucky hung up before Steve could get another word in. Sighing loudly he placed his phone down, thankful he ordered food for Bucky too.

Freshly out of college with his art degree, Steve was doing all he could to get his way into a stable job. Sure he had submitted art pieces to local galleries, and they had paid him surprising amounts but they weren't enough to make a living. Because of this he took an office job at Stark Industries. It was simple, he liked it, hours and people were good except for one particular person. Sharon Carter was always causing Steve stress by constantly hitting on her despite him showing little to no interest. Steve was a polite guy, so all his friends would just tell him to tell her no once and for all but he didn't want to jeopardise his job as her Aunt Peggy was on the board of directors and had a history with company founder Howard Stark. Despite only meeting Miss Carter once, Steve knew she wouldn't fire him over turning down her niece, still he never risked it.

His current problem however was the annual company Christmas party. This would be his third time attending, as he had gone from part to full time when he left school, and the third time Sharon Carter would try and wiggle her way in to be Steves' date. Earlier today she had stopped by his desk, asking if he was excited about the party and all questions while all he wanted to do was finish his work to go home and work on his next art piece. After about 15 'uh-huhs' and 10 'yeps' she finally got to the question Steve was dreading.

"So, Steve, are you finally going to use your plus one on a date this time?" She asked, trying to have as innocent a look as possible. Each year when his friends learned that he was going to a Stark party they each had competitions to go with him, and every year he said that they were only friends. Natasha won the first year and Sam the second, this year everyone seemed to be too busy or out of town to compete to see who would go with him. This led him to his current problem. Sharon

"Yes, my fiance is coming." He said without thinking, just wanting to get her away.

"Oh, you're engaged." Disappointment dropping from her voice. "So, do I get to know her name?" She asked, slightly cheering up. He was ever so thankful that he normally wore his mothers ring, meaning no questions on where a ring would be.

"Well, his name isn't really important to the current work I am doing. You will get to meet him at the party." He asks, finishing typing on his computer to look up and flash a similar innocent smile. She simply says a small 'no' and how she can't wait to meet the guy then. So that gave Steve only two days to find a guy to be his pretend fiance for a night.

His front door opened as Bucky waltzed into their shared apartment, following the scent of pizza coming from the small living room. Finding Steve sitting on a slowly broken thrifted couch with a box of pizza sitting on his lap, he greeted Bucky with his mouth filled.
