They both came outside, Aakriti continuosly looking at her hand which he held gently yet with firm grip. Suddenly, he pinned her to the main door caging her between his arms. She looked at him shockingly at his sudden action. He looking at her with a smile.
"Wh..what are.. you doing?", she shuttered.
"Will you marry me?", he asked.
Her heart skipped a beat when she heard him, but she quickly masked her surprise with a playful glint in her eyes.
"Marry you?" she repeated, tilting her head as if considering it. Then, with a mischievous smile, she shook her head.
"no", she said teasingly, watching his expression change.
Inside, her heart raced, but she couldn't resist teasing him, just to see his reaction.
Listening to her he whinnied like a baby he gently placed her forehead on her shoulder, holding her close. His voice softened,
"it's either yes or yes princess, reply me or else I'm gonna cry".
Her eyes widened in surprise at his unexpected words, and for a moment, she couldn't help but laugh softly. She hadn't expected him to play along, let alone say something like that.
She bit back a grin, loving the way he was trying to keep his cool. "Nope," she said, her voice light but firm, her eyes sparkling with mischief. "It's still a no".
"why?" he asked, his breath warm against her hair. "Why are you saying no?"
She could feel the steady beat of his heart beneath her cheek, and his grip was firm but tender, as though he was afraid of letting her go. one that made her heart skip a beat. She swallowed hard, unsure whether to keep playing or not.
A playful glint returned to her eyes as she bit her lip, deciding to push him just a little further. She tilted her head back, looking up at him with a mischievous smile.
"Well," she said, her voice light, "I kind of like someone else."
She felt him tense slightly, and she had to stifle a laugh. His hold on her didn't loosen, but she could sense the shift in his mood.
He pulled back just enough to look into her eyes, a mix of confusion and disbelief flickering across his face his eyes darkened.
His grip tightened subtly as he looked down at her, his face now serious. "Someone else?" he asked, his voice low and edged with a hint of steel. The warmth and affection had been replaced by a steely resolve, and the playful atmosphere between them had shifted to something much more charged.
But then, catching the playful glint in her eyes and the faint smirk on her lips, he realized she was teasing him. A slow, rueful smile spread across his face, his initial tension giving way to a soft chuckle.
He pulled her close, his voice dropping to a low, intense whisper.
"No," he said, his breath warm against her ear. "You don't get to play with me like this. You belong to me, and only me. No one else has the right to claim you."
His hands cupped her face gently but possessively, his gaze fierce yet filled with undeniable affection. "Don't ever forget that. My heart is yours, and it always will be and same with you."
She was taken aback by the intensity of his words, her breath catching in her throat. His fierce gaze and possessive tone sent a shiver down her spine. She badly wanted to cry now holding him in her arms saying how much she missed him.
