After a lot of shopping and dinner with Kriyansh, she finally arrived home, As she stepped inside, she was greeted by a flurry of voices, laughter, and the vibrant energy of people bustling about. The house was alive with activity, as expected-it was, after all, Malishka's wedding.
Colorful decorations adorned every corner, and the fragrance of flowers filled the air. The chatter of relatives, the sound of wedding preparations, and the gleam of excitement in everyone's eyes made the atmosphere lively. She barely had time to breathe before a group of people descended on her.
One of her cousin, her eyes gleaming with curiosity, leaned closer and asked with a teasing grin, "I heard your alliance got fixed! Who's the lucky man, huh?"
"You'll see him tomorrow at the mehendi function," she replied coyly, giving the aunt a playful wink.
She raised her eyebrows, intrigued but not satisfied. "Ah, keeping us in suspense, are you? Tomorrow, then!"
She smiled softly, her thoughts drifting back to him. But before she could respond, Malishka's voice rang through the crowd, calling her name excitedly.
"Finally! Where have you been? We need you!" Malishka hurried over, looking stunning even in casual attire, her excitement palpable as she pulled her into the fold of wedding madness. "There's so much left to do for tomorrow!"
After having a little chit-chat with the guests and helping with the wedding preparations, she finally excused herself and went to her room.
Just as she was about to place her bag down, her phone buzzed with a message.
"Let's see how much time you can escape."
She stared at her phone, her mind racing. Her heart pounded in her chest as she typed out a message, barely able to keep her hands steady.
"What do you want?"
The response came almost immediately, as if he had been waiting for her question.
"I want you. I want you to surrender yourself to me, I want you to remember all those things which happened eight years ago".
Her voice, barely a whisper, filled the empty room. "Not again."
Her heart stopped. The words seemed to crawl under her skin, sending chills down her spine. She dropped the phone onto the bed as if it had burned her, her hands trembling uncontrollably.
Panic surged through her chest, threatening to consume her. She paced around the room, trying to breathe, trying to calm the storm that was building inside her. But no matter how hard she tried, the fear wouldn't go away.
Her eyes darted to the drawer where the pills were. Without thinking, she rushed towards it, her hands shaking as she grabbed the bottle. Taking out a couple of pills, she swallowed them quickly, not caring how desperate it looked. She needed to sleep, to shut off her mind, even if only for a few hours.
She lay down on the bed, pulling the covers over herself, but sleep didn't come easily. The message lingered, repeating in her head like a broken record.
Eventually, the pills kicked in, and the world around her slowly faded into a haunting silence.

"Killer."
"Murderer."
"You'll never escape what you did."
She could still hear the gasps, the whispers, the shocked expressions on the faces of everyone who found out.
"How could she?"
