By the time the girls finished eating dinner, it was well past 9pm. Rosalie usually slept early on school nights, so she began her night routine.

Her comfort show f.r.i.e.n.d.s played in the background as she rubbed different skincare products onto her face. Alyssa did the same beside her.

The girl was engrossed in the episode where Ross and Rachel were breaking up — she'd watched it a million times but it still hit hard.

Alyssa on the other hand, rolled her eyes at the TV and excused herself to go to bed. She hated Ross with a burning passion. Proclaiming herself as a girl's girl, she would constantly say Rachel deserved better. Rosalie couldn't help but agree.

Even then, despite knowing the outcome of the episode, Rosalie still found it heartbreaking. Small tears began to trickle down her eyes when Rachel finally told Ross that it was the end of them.

Their acting was just so authentic.

The door from Benj's room creaked open. He came out for more food, being the big back that he was. Although, after acquiring his third slice of pizza, he heard sniffling.

He tracked the source of the sound and was met with Rosalie shedding tears. Benj's face dropped for a moment until he followed her line of sight and saw the scene playing.

The boy was well aware of how emotional Rosalie got when watching movies or TV shows. As he should, him being the one who often consoled her after all.

Benj put the food down, steadily making his way over to the girl.

Rosalie turned to the sudden dip of weight on the couch. Her eyes met his and they shared a small smile. She bashfully wiped her tears with his sweatshirt she wore.

“You okay?” He asked, almost amused. Benj's eyes unintentionally flickered down at his clothes.

The blond girl let out a wry chuckle, “Yeah, this episode just gets me going.”

“It's getting late...” Benj had flashbacks of that one summer night. He could only wonder if something might happen again. “Aren't you gonna sleep?” He fiddled with his fingers, his elbows propped up on each knee.

Rosalie caught a glimpse of the clock.

She was appalled to see that it was well past 10. It seems watching her favourite show made her lose track of time.

“Yeah, I will soon.” Benj's expression contorted to confusion when he saw the girl rip open a packet that was settled beside all of her self-care products. Rosalie was finishing the last step of her night routine.

He slowly began to smile, as the girl opened what appeared to be a face mask. The design was what he found adorable.

It was a sanrio face mask — her favourite character, cinnamoroll.

Rosalie carefully placed it on, her fingers smoothened the cotton directly onto her skin — being sure to cover every crevice. She set a timer for 15 minutes and finally looked up, only to see Benj staring at her with an adoring smile.

After a brief pause, she uttered a small, “...What?” It came out soft.

She was so oblivious. The freshmen shook his head, glancing at the ground to get a grip before he faced her again. “Nothing.”

He was lying and she knew that.

The curiosity killed her, but nonetheless, she let it go once an idea surfaced in her head. A knowing grin engulfed her face, making Benj mentally brace himself.
