Rosalie aroused, her ears met with an alarm that she dreaded to hear every school morning. She groggily reached out to shut it off but she felt a weight restricting her from doing so.

With all the might she could muster up, she fought to keep her eyes open — long enough to determine what the weight was.

It was Benj.

Question marks would've been surrounding her head if she were in a cartoon.

They were sprawled out on Benj's bed, his arm snaked around her waist. Rosie's fingers were tangled in his curls, while his head rested in the crook of her neck.

The events of last night slowly come back to her. The clothes, the food, the masks, everything. She was now fully aware she was in his bed, wearing his clothes, snuggled up with him.

What is wrong with her?

Rosalie didn't know why but she felt guilty.

A voice in the back of her head convinced her that it shouldn't be her, it should be Bailey. Rosalie knew the most about Benj's little crush, she was the one who had to listen to him yap her ear off about the girl.

So why was he here with Rosalie and not her?

The sophomore cautiously slipped out of his grasp, replacing her body with a handful of pillows instead. She finally got to her phone and to her horror, the time flashed 7:59 a.m.

Rosalie instantly shook Benj awake, causing him to shoot up in his bed.

"What?! What!?" He spoke frantically, gripping the sheets to keep himself grounded.

"We're gonna be late! Alyssa didn't wake us up!"

She put her phone directly to his face and he gently held her arm, pushing it further away so it'd be coherent for him to read.

Benj took a second to process before he became as panicked as she was.

The two high schoolers rushed to brush their teeth, occasionally gagging due to how careless they were being. Rosalie put on one of Alyssa's skirts but ended up not having time to change her top.

Benj didn't care much for his style, throwing on whatever he could find in his closet.

The girl was forced to brush her hair on the way to the car, getting even more stressed due to the freshman — who claimed being late would be the end of him.

He carried both of their bags, tossing them into the backseat once he got in the passenger seat.

“Rosie, hurry, please!”

He exclaimed to the girl who shakily started her car.

“Wait!” She waved him off. “You're the passenger princess. I'm going as fast as I can!” She was bordering the speed limit, Benj had to grip into his seatbelt for dear life.

“Okay, maybe not that fast!”

“Make up your mind, Benji!” The nickname diluted the harsh tone. He knew her well enough to know she didn't mean it in a bad way, she was just stressed out.
