All over again

Chapter 3

PRESENT TIME

I was with my seniors and college friends in our annual gathering as usual same place and same date.

"Paano na jas no? If you'll end up with your first love ano nalang kaya ang reaction ng ex-boyfriend mo for 10 years?" my friend JD blurted out upon seeing my first love which is my senior from college.

"You and your imaginations ha. Parang di ka na fall sa kanya way back then ha!" pang-aasar ko because we had the same person of interest at the same time back in college.

"Mas exciting pa kung makita natin yung ex ni Jas dito!" Gabriel added.

Hays, this people and their imaginations!

"Hoy bibig mo!" saway ko rito. Well, it's impossible naman because this resort is kinda far and you need to ride a boat to get here.

We were entertaining ourselves because everyone is with their offsprings.

"How old are we na gane? Bat feeling ko tayo lang ang di tumatanda sa event na ito? Last year kasama pa natin si Smile dito sa singles/unmarried cottage Now ayun! May bitbit ng anak kamukha pa talaga ng tatay Nyang kulot" I tried changing our topics.

"Who would've thought that those two would end up together? Hahaha bestfriend lang daw e nagawa na ng baby" Gabriel follows my lead on making smile our topic.

"hahaha how about you? Nagsige ka na gawa ng baby back then wala ka pang nabuo" inaasar n ani JD si Gabriel. He's that over sharer to the point that we're updated about his sex life. Everyone in our cottage started laughing.

I, on the other hand started to greet everyone in other cottages. My batchmate makes fun of me as the seniors favorite because I am that close to them. Like to the point na kumare na nila.

"Inahinnnnn! I miss youuuuu! Ikaw lang mag-isa?" I immediately run into her because we can see each other because of this annual gathering.

"Jaaaas, oo ako lang kay busy ang mga anak ko!" btw, I'm his first child.

"Speaking of that. I have pasalubong to your Anakins and everyone's Anakins here" I greeted everyone including kuya JM – the first love.

I noticed no one asked where my ex is because he used to attend this gathering for 10 years. I appreciated everyone's effort.

As we we're the unmarried/single group. We were assigned as the taga-sugba by everyone.

"Okay lang kayo guys?" our long-lost friend who has been married for 4 years showed up carrying a cute baby.

"Hay nako Isagani, kung di lang cute itong inaanak ko inaaway na kita ngayon!" I stopped what im doing and inagaw ko si Sittie.

"How are you baby girl? Did you miss mommy?" I am carrying her as I walk along the coast. I know my dear friend Gani would be so thankful that I'm doing his supposed task.

"Tita Jasmine!" in unison I saw some familiar children running into my direction.

"Is that your baby with Tiyoy?" nagdilang anghel nga ang Gabriel. My ex's nieces and nephews are here. What a timing.

"No. It's my best friend's baby. Who are you with?" I don't know why am I explaining but yeah who are they with?

"Nanay, Tatay, Tiyoy Jay, Mamang and Papang, hmmm and many to mention" yeah many to many because the whole family is here. Great!

"Nay! Nay! Ara si Tiyay Jas" one of his nieces ran back to the family informing about my presence.

I had no choice but to go and greet them.

"Hello po!" I greeted them sabay mano.

"Ikaw gali na Jas, pila na edad sang bata mo?" awkwaaaard because I dated their son for 10 years and then years later, we crossed path again while me carrying someone else's child.

"2 years old na po ito but—" then my very good friend Gani came.

"Ay hello po! Kunin ko lang po yung baby ko" he then took his child from me.

Another awkward scenario. I can tell from their gaze what runs in their mind. I vividly sneak a peek to the people behind them expecting to see my ex and yeah, he is there. I did talk to them for a brief moment and go back to my group.

"Omg. I saw that. Awkward" JD approached me.

"They thought that Sittie is mine" a short sentenced came out of my mouth because I'm still in shocked of what happened.

"What a twist" Gabriel said upon seeing me. Alam kong naichismis na ako ni Isagani sa kanila.

After 30 minutes I realized that I don't care what will they think about it.

After dinner it's the time that everyone is waiting. Ang inuman which is also what I am looking forward bc I need to have a peaceful sleep and not to overthink about things I can't control.

My alcohol tolerance is mid-range. I don't get tipsy easily, but I get drunk after a big bottle of empe. My ex knows this but heck we broke up and I'm not his business anymore.

"Hubog na ni sya" I heard some familiar voice.

"I know. I actually put up a tent for her. Well, you can accompany her since I am not willing to take care of drunk people"

Someone held my hand and started assisting me.

Then the morning came. Someone is hugging me from behind me. I know it's neither Gabriel or JD because they aren't the type. Upon seeing a familiar mark in his hands, I knew it. I just hope I didn't do something stupid while I'm drunk.

"Bugtaw ka na gali" nagising sya while I'm trying to remove his arms around my waist.

"daw sa lain ka nga tent natulugan ba haha" I jokingly said trying changed the mood.

"Hahaha sa lain gid. Way kami nagrent sang tent room amon ginkuha" okay what am I supposed to say?

I just started arranging the things like the unlan and habol. After that I left him inside the tent.

"aye, big night?" Gab said upon seeing me.

"big night?" I asked him because I had no memory of yesternight.

"Di man maga mata mo so hindi halata" JD came.

As the day goes on no one ever tried telling what I have done yesterday. I sat along the sand trying to regain my memory.

"Tiyaaaay!" as sweet little 8-year-old girl came and sat beside me. It was Jazzy, one of his nieces.

"Jazzzy, how are u?" I open my arms to hug her. My baby girl.

"I missed you tiyay! Di ka na nagvisit sa balay" she immediately said while sulking.

"I missed you too baby. Tiyay is very busy now a days" I don't want to tell her that I'm never visiting again because me and his tiyoy broke up.

"you're busy but tiyoy is always at home. He misses you too and he's like sad because you didn't visit him" she explained. I miss their fam too because they're loud and big. She sat beside me and did what im doing, watching the waves.
