Chapter 9

I stepped ahead following Seokjin as head alpha signaled us to do so. After we stood there for at least half an hour hearing the story of this stranger Hoseok. It seemed like head alpha liked him, he intuitively looked at him when he spoke.
He told some disturbing fucked up shit that if I wasn't listening to his heartbeat and sniffing his pheromones I would be positive to say he was lying, but damn, he hadn't lied at all. Except for one slightly change I noticed at the end of his story.

It was minor change but it was strange and honestly bothered me.
Each second passed and I got irritated, each second we stayed here wasting our time not treating what should be treated annoyed me.
I listened to Seokjin hyung as he described head alpha our journey. Head alpha questioned him from time to time but most of the time he didn't interrupted him.
I kept an eye on the other guy who sat expressionless facing the entrance. He looked unbothered and not present but after hearing his story and inhaled his aura I knee he was well aware to everything.

Seokjin got quiet and after few seconds Hoseok looked at me, directly in my eyes raising a brow at me.
"Yoongi!" Seokjin nudged my arm shout whispering, I looked back at him and he motioned me with his head over to head alpha.
"What?" I asked. Hearing Seokjin gasping a bit.
"Anything else you would like to add to Seokjin report?" Head alpha asked, not offended by my tone.
I shook my head.
"I know Hyung hadn't missed a thing. But if we're done we do need to treat hyung's wound."
"I'll kill you," Seokjin whispered to me through greeted teeth.

Head alpha eyes glowed green for a moment when he looked at Seokjin. "I warned you bother to report AFTER getting treatment."
I stepped forward "and we told you unless we're dying with spear in our heart we'll report later. Every single drop of information is important."
Head alpha sighed deeply. I saw Hoseok stood from his place. "You're all dismissed, Seokjin go to the healer," Seokjin nodded and we bowed our heads ready to leave. "Yoongi," he called me, I hummed back.
"Please take our old-new pack member to his cabin, he'll be living in your area. Show him around. In the next coming month he is your responsibility."

After making sure Seokjin got the head alpha's healer full attention I was ready to leave.
Hoseok waited outside of the healer's chambers leaning against the wall.
I passed by him heading out knowing he's following me.

It was late evening outside, the wind blew nicely I enjoyed it and couldn't wait to come back to my cabin, I missed my bed way too much.
"Some punishment you got," a voice said to my left. I looked at him seeing he was walking the same pace as me. 'He's annoyingly fast' I thought.
"Hmm?" I raised my brows.
"Babysitting me for the next month," he explained with no hint of any emotion in his voice.
"Your behavior will determine if it's a punishment."
"Hmm," he hummed and sounded amused.

We walked quietly to the village border, where my cabin was, and where some of the troops stayed as well. After a while we reached my cabin and I felt at ease seeing my house after such a long time. We walked through the little fence surrounding my house.
"Do you mind if I'll be delayed for a few minutes before taking you to your cabin?" I asked him.
He nodded, "take your time," he said and turned around and walked completely out of my territory.
'Dramatic much' I thought as I walked inside the house breathing in the familiar scent feeling instantly relaxed.

I took off my gear, tossing everything to the side heading straight to my bathtub, I needed to wash up so bad I didn't even felt bad on Hoseok who was waiting for me.
I stepped in the tub humming in pleasure, the water was warm with a hint of the smell of roses.
"He must have came here early in the morning preparing this for me," I mumbled 'since there wasn't any other scent in my house, I thought.

I washed myself off quickly and dried my hair as best as I could before putting on clothes and heading out.
As I walked out I noticed Hoseok's frame, he leaned on my fence with his legs crossed looking up at the sky, I sniffed quietly the air to see if I could smell his pheromones, to give away his emotions, but as I expected there was nothing. 'He is good controlling himself,' I thought.

The wind blew nicely "You smell like roses," he mentioned as I walked towards him. "Hmm," I hummed "mother nature stuck on me for too long," I said standing next to him looking as well up at the sky, feeling at ease getting back home. I felt contented.
"Let me show you your cabin," I said after a moment.
He nodded. We passed by 4 more cabins from my house, "that's your cabin," I said. We stood outside of a small similar fence to mine.

He looked at it, scanning the area with his eyes then they landed on me. "We're close to each other," he said. "You're sharp," I replied. "Let me show you around" I said. He stopped me when I turned around to wake away "no need, it can wait for another day," he said. "Are you sure I asked?" Thinking of my nice, comforting warm bed. "Yes," he nodded.
"Okay, tomorrow I'll show you the village and everything," I said. "Sleep well then," I said slightly bowing my head.

"Wait Yoongi," I stopped and looked back at him raising my brow. "It's Yoongi right?" He asked. "It is," I replied. "Any problem with me having a walk now?"
"Not really, why?" I asked.
"Routine," he replied
"Any specific place?" I asked.
"The woods," he said "is there anything I need to know?"

I watched his face, listening to hie tone, breathing the air, all my focus was on him.
"You know," I said "earlier at head alpha's home I felt it for a brief moment when you lied," I said seeing a surprised expression on his face for a moment, "why did you lied?"
"I didn't lie. There is no a threat anymore, I eliminated it." He said firmly.
"But still," I pressed.
"Something I owed was taking from me, and I need it back." He said, I knew he said the truth as I intuitively listened to all of him.

I nodded "the rumor says that rebels hiding in the woods. We haven't confirmed that yet. Besides that same old precaution needed in the woods." I said
"Got it," he said passing by to the woods.
"Hoseok," I called.
He stopped tilting his head in my direction.
"What was taking from you?" My curiosity wouldn't let it go.
He clenched his jaw and I sensed his anger in the air.
"Everything."
