September 26 , 20:37pm (2024)faye took a deep breath trying to get her shit together. then she looked up, saw her self in the mirror....she hated what she saw.
phone buzzed.
mom sent a message.
her eyes widened as soon as she saw the text.
-Faye you have been gone for approximately seven minutes. Where are you? guests have been asking about you. Your actions are disappointing. Cmon now, be a good girl and attend this party, WE SPECIFICALLY THREW IT FOR YOU. Don't forget to smile, dear.
-Yes ,mother. I'll be there shortly. She replied.
once again, she looked in the mirror. Faye couldn't believe her parents were forcing her to attend her fake birthday party. her birthday was 11 days ago, this whole shenanigan was only about investors and potential buyers for the company.
Faye knew she was their trophy child. they never cared about her. they only cared about what she did and if it was suitable for their name/ image. She was raised by seven nannies in their (MALISORN) luxurious mansion , she was well taken care of but feeling of being lonely was deep buried into her soul.
Faye shook her head...no it was not the right time to think about her unresolved family issues, even tho, deep down she knew she spent 29 years of her life desperately trying to get her parents approval. she just wanted to be seriously taken , wanted , loved. that's all she ever wanted from them.
She finally managed to snap back. Faye fixed her tuxedo dress her mother specifically hired designers to make for her and stepped out of the bathroom .
air was chilling. There were lot of prestigious people there. Faye knew everyone's name and their property value by alphabetical order as her mother ordered her to memorize weeks prior to this event.
she was surrounded by a lot of people and yet she felt extremely alone. As she walked on the red carpet she saw pack of paparazzis spotting her. She tried to avoid unwanted attention from them but someone from behind stopped her form retrieving.
Where do you think you are going dear?Someone whispered. woman's voice was cold as ice but somehow comforting to faye .
This is your night Faye. Me and your father worked so hard on this. Don't make us disappointed. She continued.
Faye was about to reply when another person approached her from behind. This time he didn't speak. He suddenly took both his wife and his offspring by the arm and almost forcefully nudged them to pose for paparazzi.
Faye tried so hard not to seem ungenuine on photos. She stood there, with her parents pretending to be a happy...she wanted so badly.
And then...they walked off the carpet and everything was back to as it usually was. Blank. A total blank.
Suddenly her mother grabbed her arm and whispered. Come Faye, there are lot of people who want to meet you. behave and don't speak if they aren't directly asking you a question.
She said.Faye nodded submissively. Yes, mother. and walked politely next to her.
~~~
Night dragged on. Faye lost count how many people her mother introduced her to...hours ago. Her ears were buzzing and her dead was killing her but she sucked all her pain. She didn't want to disappoint her parents.
