Chapter Seventeen

Jalyza Chambers

I placed my bag down before looking around. I walked into the living room to see my sisters sprawled all over the sofa.

"Hey, why y'all look tired?" I asked.

"We just got done dancing." Jya said.

"Dancing to what?" Jackson asked.

"Music, duh." Jade scuffed sitting up.

I sat beside her and laughed.

"How was the photo shoot?" Josie asked.

"That's what we actually wanted to talk to you guys about." Jackson started sitting on the arm of the couch.

"You're leaving us?" Jya asked.

"Damn, I knew it...when you moving out?" Jade asked.

"I can finally have my own room." Josie squealed.

"First of all I'm not going anywhere thank you very much. Second Jackson and I have made it official." I announced.

They looked at me before looking at one another.

"Annndd?" Jade asked.

"Our relationship would be announced, publicly tomorrow morning." Jackson said.

"I can put a stop too it-"

"Wait, wait...wait." Jya shook her head.

"You don't need our permission Lyza." Josie said.

"Exactly, you baby us to much." Jya said.

"We'll be fine. As long as this attention doesn't change you." Jade said.

Jackson smiled.

"But what about the backlash-"

"We've worked at the wild cat...if we can survive that. A little backlash is nothing." Josie said placing her hands on her hips.

"But-"

"Lyza...we're ok, you took care of us for so long. You deserve this." Jade said.

"Agreed, if it becomes crazy...we'll let you know." Jya smiled.

I smiled as we all grouped hugged.

"Us against the world." I said.

"With painted nails and high heels." They said.

"And sneakers." Jackson added.

We all looked at him as he smiled.

"Yeah we not there yet FlapJack." Josie said patting his shoulder.

He laughed before joining us in our group hug.

I said my good byes to the girls before leaving the apartment, I let out a breath of relief as I jogged down the stairs. I pulled my phone out and called Mark as I began walking to the parking lot.
