𝘼𝗡𝗔𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗦𝗜𝗔 looked at her phone. nothing was surprising about the news she was just sent. her boyfriend of three months, jaylen williams, was cheating on her. it wasn’t like she really cared.

she listened to the three minute voice note her friend had sent her, skipping through most of it.

“they were at the table behind me and the girl was like “i’m tired of your games” and he was all like “nobody’s playing games”. so i was trying to be nosey, on some real investigator shit and i turn my head to the side- it’s motherfucking jaylen!” gali's voice played from the speaker of anastasia’s phone.

“i was so disgusted i had to get my order to go. he looks like a fucking turtle!” she paused the message since most of it was probably just gali forgetting the purpose of texting anastasia and rambling about random things.

she reacted to the note with a thumbs up before going to text her now ex. it was a 𝘴𝘩𝘰𝘳𝘵 𝘯' 𝘴𝘸𝘦𝘦𝘵 we’re done text before she placed her phone back down. reaching for her tv remote, she unpaused the episode of nailed it! that she was watching on netflix.

anastasia’s phone went off as someone texted her but she simply ignored it, thinking it was jaylen with a lame excuse for an apology. in reality, gali had just sent her a photo a certain brown haired basketball player.

much like when she received the information, 𝘼𝗡𝗔𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗦𝗜𝗔 was not surprised to see jaylen at her apartment door holding flowers not even a week later

much like when she received the information, 𝘼𝗡𝗔𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗦𝗜𝗔 was not surprised to see jaylen at her apartment door holding flowers not even a week later. she hated flowers. what caught her attention was the gift bag in his hand. now gifts? she loved gifts.

so she let him in. mostly because she didn’t want him to sing to her as an apology like he’d done the first time she almost caught him cheating and because she was frustrated- sexually, that is.

anastasia got her gifts, her sex (which was horrible) and she dodged almost every kiss he tried to give her. the young woman rolled on her stomach, ready to sleep off all of her emotions and feelings. jaylen began to get comfortable next to her making her eyes pop open.

“what are you doing?” anastasia asked. “i hope you don’t think i was finna take you back. you literally got caught cheating on me.” she reminded him. “stasia. are you serious?” he questioned as the girl closed her eyes again.

“dead. show yourself out- and leave the gifts.”

𝙉𝗜𝗞𝗔 looked at her phone, once again. she was supposed to be meeting with her boyfriend of three months so they could talk. nika knew there was someone else. not in the sense that he was cheating- when was he not?- but their was another girl he always went too once he left her side.

she’d seen the girl before. and upon seeing the girl, nika saw why he wanted to see the girl. she had long legs tall enough to be on the team, thick curly hair that she rarely ever wore out, and tan skin. who wouldn’t wanna be with her?

“sorry i’m late baby.” jaylen williams in all his glory sat across from nika. “mhm.” the basketball player hummed. “what’d you wanna talk about?” he asked. “i wanna break up.” nika stated quickly. their was no room for argument yet he still wanted to talk.

“what?” she didn’t understand why he acted like he was confused. not only did he have another girlfriend, he was cheating on both of them. “you heard me. i’m tired of your games.” nika said looking at the wide eyed boy in front of her.

“nobody’s playing games.” jaylen replied quickly. “please, being with you is like being in an arcade.” she retorted, getting a snicker out of the girl at the table in front of them who was leaving. “so that’s it? you just gon’ throw away three months like that?” jaylen asked.

“i’d rather throw away three months than waste my time.”
