𝘼𝗡𝗔𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗦𝗜𝗔 couldn’t tell you how they ended up from the corner, to the bar, to her room- but it happened. here nika was, in her bed, in her clothes. “what made you become a singer?” nika questioned. “my dad. he was like a famous singer where we lived in brazil.” anastasia shrugged.

“was?” she nodded, “he’s old now, what business he got singing?” nika let out an airy laugh at the statement. “do you like basketball?” anastasia asked. “yeah, it’s been apart of my life since i was little.”

“would you ever do anything else?” she continued on with the topic, finding the girl’s voice unusually soothing. “probably when i’m old. but i would have to have like arthritis or a bad heart condition or somethin’. other than that, i’ma be ninety and still hooping.”

it was anastasia’s turn to laugh before they switched the topic. “did he- um, did he treat you good?” the brunette asked. “i used to think he did.” anastasia shrugged and the croatian nodded as if to tell her to continue.

“it was honestly the bare minimum. i hadn’t had someone since high school so the first bit of attention he gave me made me happy. i was lucky enough to get a text.” she continued.

“i almost caught him cheating once, he told me it was a misunderstanding and i believed it. after that i kinda had a feeling but i never had proof. then my best friend told me that she saw him get broken up with at some café.” nika sat up a little more, looking at anastasia in shock.

“was your best friend the girl that was with you today?” the brunette asked, receiving a nod from anastasia. “yo, no way! that was me!” she admitted. at first it didn’t click but it did now. gali’s description was short and the details were only tall with brown hair.

it didn’t help anastasia much because everyone was tall compared to gali and there were over a hundred girls on campus with brown hair- gali was one of them until she dyed her hair last week.

“i always had a feeling there was someone other than me. like, another girlfriend. i never really cared for his cheating because i felt like since i was the only one he was taking seriously, i was superior or some shit.” nika admitted with a small shrug.

“then you found out you weren’t the only one.” anastasia finished for her, getting a nod in response. “you think there’s more girls he took serious besides us?” anastasia shook her head, “nah. i feel like he doesn’t like staying loyal but kept us around for the two seconds of fame.”

“i always wanted to know why he was so obsessed with you- not in like a shady way.” nika stated making anastasia laugh. “what do you think?” she asked, intrigued to hear the girl’s answer. “personality and looks?”

“you calling me cute?” nika looked off with a small smile, “maybe.” she shrugged for what felt like the millionth time tonight. “wait, was i right?” nika questioned after anastasia flashed a grin. “nah, it goes past looks.” she answered, leaving the girl even more confused.
