"Are you going to that wildlife day thing?" I casually asked Katy as we made our way to our next class. All the senior students were away on study leave and, since Katy and I were slightly new, we would not be taking our exams until fifth year. The corridors were quieter and more peaceful than usual and the school had less students in it all together, meaning it was easier for us to walk to class.
Katy shrugged. "Maybe. My head still kind of hurts but I'm getting better. I'll see how I feel." I smiled st her. It was nice to see her out and about and in school again. I had missed her. It was not fun facing both Rory and Sebastian on my own. Of course, I had told her everything that had happened, minus the confession from Sebastian because that was not something you go around telling everyone.
"Well, good. I hope you can make it."
Our next class was science. The class was very small even when every student was present so I couldn't imagine what the class would look like with everyone gone.It had been just over a month since the party and Sebastian had rarely shown up to any classes. I was starting to worry about him but, just as I walked in the classroom I spotted him sitting at the back. I sighed, maybe louder than I should have, and mentally face-palmed myself. Of course Sebastian wouldn't be on study leave. He had a lot of catching up to do, especially since he missed many classes in the past month.
We tried to sit as far away from him as possible but he whistled and signaled with his hand for us to come over. He patted the seat next to him and I took it, Katy sitting next to me. "Are you going to that wildlife day out thing?" he asked me.
"Yeah," I replied. "Are you?" He replied with a nod. "Why would you want to go?"
"This is going to sound really childish and immature, but I really want to play a prank on the teachers tent."
I just blinked as a response. "That is really childish and immature." I turned to Katy who just laughed. "Is Jack coming?"
His look suddenly turned cold and stern, as if a wall had gone up behind his eyes. He turned away from me. "How would I know?" he answered.
"Sebastian." I said, realising what I had said. "I didn't mean-"
"I know what you meant." He lifted his bag higher onto his shoulders and moved to the seat I was originally going to sit at.

I had spent the whole morning with my head on the toilet. I was afraid to stand up just in case I vomited everywhere. I hugged the bowl and groaned as I moved my head. The door swung open behind me but I was too nauseous to turn and see who it was. "Are you okay, honey?" It was my mum.
I nodded weakly as I pushed myself up from the floor.I still felt sick, but I didn't feel like I was going to be sick. "Maybe you should forget about going to the camp."
I shook my head. "No. I'll be fine." I said, smiling through the pain. My mother stared at me for a while, and it began to feel awkward. I flicked my eyes away from her and she sighed. "Okay. But bring your phone and don't be afraid to call me if you need to come home."
I nodded again and she exited the bathroom. I sighed and sat on the closed toilet seat. On all the days to be ill, it had to be today. I had been looking forward to going on this camp all month, and I wasn't going to let a little stomach bug stop me from going. I had my suitcases ready packed and I picked them up from my bedroom floor. I skipped breakfast, afraid I would just bring it back up, and kissed my mum goodbye. I made my way, quickly, towards the school, not wanting to wait another minute to get on the bus.
