Deep inside a wounded heart,
Lies the memory of a bad start.
An aching pain that won't subside,
A deep need to survive,
Ghosts of bad memories that won't die.

Every day feels like a fight,
Darkness lurks behind the light.
Haunted by what was done,
Haunted by who is gone.

The presence of his touch that was here,
A feeling of fear that won't clear.
Every moment feels like a struggle,
Every day feels like a juggle.
A juggle of what the day includes,
I feel like I'm an open wound.

But hope shall not be dead,
My healing is up ahead.
Courage to move through the pain.
Happy memories to regain.

His touch may have left a mark,
But that won't define a life that's stark.
A bright future can still form,
A new chapter will be born.

I'm expecting this book to get like 3 reads but it doesn't matter. I'm hoping the few people that do read it realise that they're not alone and there's people going through similar things as them. You are never alone.
