Chapter 10:- Ruhi Confronts Angel!!!!

Kartik was hidden behind the bed and was peeping out. He knew soon Ruhi's dinner would be completed, and she was not going to leave him.

"What should I do? She won't spare me. I didn't tell her the truth from the beginning; it was all my mistake," said Kartik, hidden behind the bed, all scared.

As Kartik was lost in his thoughts, the door opened. Kartik was feeling as if he was in a horror film, and his heartbeat was getting heavy. He didn't know what he was supposed to do, but he was surely gone today.

As the door fully opened, Ruhi was standing at the entrance. She came inside and locked the door from the inside.

"Angel! Angel! Where are you?" said Ruhi in a dangerous tone, and Kartik shivered upon hearing her voice. Ruhi looked here and there, and seeing no response from Angel, she continued.

"Angel, I very well know that you are here. Come out, or else I will not pare you," said Ruhi with her cute little anger.

"It's 'spare,'" said Kartik, and after saying so, he bit his tongue and realized what he had done while Ruhi caught him.

Ruhi started to move towards Kartik. As her footsteps were heard by Kartik, his heart was racing with each second, and he was praying in his mind not to get caught. However, he also knew that he was already caught because of his own stupidity. While he was thinking all this, Ruhi was standing exactly next to him and looking at him angrily.

"Now tell me the truth, or you will see my wrath," said Ruhi angrily, folding her hands cutely.

Kartik didn't know why, but Ruhi looked very cute like this, and he couldn't do anything but chuckle at her. While Ruhi scrunched her nose in frustration and pout looking at him. She tried to look even more angrily at Kartik.

"I'm angry with you, and you are chuckling," said Ruhi, looking at him angrily.

"Sorry, teacher," said Kartik in an instant reply, seeing her rising anger, and he kept his finger on his lips.

Kartik was trying his best not to smile, but Ruhi, who looked like a little kitten to him, was making it really hard for him not to smile.

Ruhi gestured for him to get up and sit on the bed. The two of them were sitting on the bed with crossed legs; Kartik was facing the room door while Ruhi was sitting opposite him.

"Now ask me whatever you want to ask me," said Kartik, looking at her.

"Why didn't you cold me that you are my nanu?" asked Ruhi, looking at him.

"First of all, it's 'told,' and secondly, woh, actually I am still so young. What will people think when an 8-year-old girl calls me nanu? It will look so weird," said Kartik, setting his hair and wearing his famous smile.

"Can't you answer properly?" said Ruhi, looking at him.

"Okay, okay, actually I don't know you, and you didn't know me, so I didn't know how you would react after learning this truth," said Kartik, looking at her with a small smile.

"That's correct! Now come near me," said Ruhi with gestures. As Kartik came closer, she whispered something in his ear.

"What? I still look young! You little kitten are going to tell me how I look?" said Kartik, holding his cheeks with a cute expression.

"Nanu, I told you the truth: you are getting older with age. And secondly, no one sees you except me. Then what's the problem with calling you Nanu? It is so lovely! Nanu, seeing you like this is really fun," said Ruhi, giggling louder while Kartik pouted, looking at her.

"See, you little kitten, don't call me Nanu; call me Angel. It makes me feel younger," said Kartik with a smile.

"That means you agree with me that you are getting older," said Ruhi, laughing as she looked at him, while Kartik just wondered what kind of granddaughter he had.

"You know what? By behavior, you are just the opposite of Aaru. She is the studious one and always serious, while look at you, laughing all the time," said Kartik, making faces.

"I may have all this nature because of Papa's family," said Ruhi, being proud of her paternal family.

"Ruhi, see, I will be genuinely honest, but this is the best joke ever: Birla family and funny—these two words never match together," said Kartik, laughing louder while Ruhi looked at him with a whatever look.

"Nanu, you are so funny! Actually, I like you. Why are you not with us in the future?" asked Ruhi, making the air heavy after this light moment.

"Rooh, as you lost your Papa at a young age, my Aaru lost me. I want to meet her, but I can't. You know, Aaru was my princess; she was Papa's princess. She was my heart, and Akshu was my heartbeat and Kairav was my breaths. I am incomplete without trio of them, but I don't know why Akshu is going down this wrong track," said Kartik, with another level of pain in his eyes.

"You are Akshu's Massi's father, and you can bring her back on the right path. Then why aren't you doing it?" said Ruhi, making Kartik look at her. Kartik knew that he couldn't do anything and just had to watch what was happening in front of his eyes.

Kartik knew that if he talked further about this topic, the intensity of the situation would grow heavier, and Ruhi wasn't the correct one to share this with. The only reason was that Ruhi was too young; this complexity of relationships was something not meant for her.

Kartik took a deep breath and looked at her. "Ruhi, now I think you should sleep. By tomorrow, your DNA results are coming."

"Yes, I am very excited," said Ruhi excitedly, and she slept, whereas a lone tear escaped from Kartik's eyes.

Being a father, he was standing there with his granddaughter but couldn't touch his own children, who needed him badly. He could only see them and cherish them.
