Chapter 14:- Ice Cream!!!!

It was a bright day. Aarohi was in the hospital, engrossed in her work. She was walking while reading a file, and as she moved forward, she collided with someone.

"Why am I always stuck with you, and why are you always colliding with me, Chamgader?" said, Aarohi, with a disappointed face.

"You also collided with me," Chipkali said Neil, getting up.

"I was busy reading a file. You could have moved forward with your eyes open," said Aarohi, looking at him.

"I am sorry," said Neil, extending his hand. Aarohi just looked at his hand.

"Will you hold it and stand up or not? Or do you want to sit here only? And what are you doing on the floor?" said Neil in one go.

"I am playing dandiya on the floor all alone. Why not you join me? We both will play together," said Aarohi in a sarcastic tone.

"Please, Chipkali, get up. This is a hospital; let's not create a mess here," said Neil, extending his hand again. Aarohi took his hand, and Neil helped her to stand up.

"Thank you," said Aarohi, looking at Neil.

"I am sorry," said Neil, guilty.

"It's okay. Right now, I am busy, so I need to leave," said Aarohi, again reading the file.

Aarohi was leaving when Neil shouted from behind, "Aarohi, I came to meet you only!" But Aarohi didn't hear him and went from there.

"I wanted to ask this chipkali when I can take Ruhi for ice cream, but now she has already left," said Neil dramatically, looking at Aarohi.

Neil was sitting in his cabin, lost in his thoughts.

"Neil, what are you thinking?" asked Harsh, entering the cabin. Neil was still lost in his thoughts.

"Neil, where are you lost?" shouted Harsh, bringing Neil back to his senses. Neil just looked at Harsh as if he were an alien.

"Neil, where are you lost?" questioned Harsh again, but with a stern look.

"Woh, woh, sir, I was thinking about someone," said Neil in a trembling voice.

"Neil, this is not good. Right now, you don't need to focus on girlfriend. First, make your career, then focus on a relationship," said Harsh with concern.

"Sir, hold your horses! I wasn't thinking about a girl; I was thinking about Ruhi," said Neil with a smile, remembering Ruhi.

"Who is this Ruhi?" asked Harsh, confused.

"Sir, the little girl you met yesterday," said Neil.

Harsh could clearly see the smile his child was carrying when Ruhi's name came to his lips. Harsh didn't know what magic Ruhi had done, but he was really happy that Neil was smiling because of someone.

"Okay, okay, now focus on the work," said Harsh again in a stern tone.

Neil and Aarohi were engrossed in their work fully, and after some time, Aarohi was in the canteen.

"You look very tired Dr. Aarohi," said Rohan, looking at her.

"I am very tired. What can I say? Why is Abhimanyu giving me so much work?" said Aarohi in frustration.

"No idea," said Rohan, looking at her.

"Are you hungry? Let me order something for both of us," asked Aarohi, looking at him.

"Yeah, a sandwich will work for me," said Rohan with a smile.

"Sure, let me bring it for both of us," said Aarohi with a smile and went to order for Rohan and herself. Just then, Neil came and sat next to Rohan.

"Hey, Rohan," said Neil with a smile.

"Hey, would you like a cup of coffee?" asked Rohan, looking at him.

"Yeah, why not?" replied Neil.

"One cup of coffee, please," said Rohan with a smile.

Aarohi came with a plate of sandwiches in her hand and a cup of coffee.

"Here is your coffee Rohan," said Aarohi with a smile.

"Not me; Neil needed it," said Rohan, forwarding the coffee to Neil.

"Thank you," said Neil with a smile.

"You're welcome," said Aarohi with the same smile.

"Aarohi, I wanted to talk to you. Can you tell me when I can take Ruhi for ice cream?" asked Neil with a huge smile.

"You can take her in the evening, but before that, just call me once," said Aarohi with the same smile and went back to her work.

Neil also completed his work quickly so that he could take Ruhi for ice cream as soon as possible. In the evening, Neil was standing outside the Goenka house with a smile on his face.

Just then, Ruhi and Aarohi came. Aarohi was wearing a beautiful blue jumpsuit and looked very cute in it. Neil, for once, was just lost in her and was looking at her with a smile. He didn't know why, but looking at both Ruhi and Aarohi brought a smile to his lips.

"What are you thinking, Neil? She was once going to be your sister-in-law. How can you think about her like this? No, no, you can't," Neil said in his mind, trying to pacify himself.

"I was only going to take Ruhi. What are you doing here Chipkali," said, Neil dramatically.

"Excuse me, Mr. Chamgader. Ruhi lives with me. You can't take her without me," said Aarohi, making faces.

"Can we go?" said Ruhi excitedly.

"Yeah, sure," Neil and Aarohi said in unison.

They all went to an ice cream parlor nearby.

"So, what flavor would you both like?" asked Aarohi.

"Chocolate," said Neil and Ruhi in unison while Aarohi looked at them.

"What happened, Chipkali? Why are you looking at us like this?" questioned Neil.

"Because I was also going to have chocolate," said Aarohi with a smile.

The trio shared hearty laughter, and at the ice cream shop, Neil was just getting lost in Aarohi's smile. Whenever he looked at her, he was trying his best to avoid her, but she was making it difficult for him.
