The morning at Daeseung Academy began with an unusual crispness in the air, the kind that heralds significant changes. Hana walked through the bustling hallways, her heart heavy with the weight of the threatening note she had received.

The note’s ominous warning to cease her investigation or face dire consequences had fueled her determination rather than deterring it.

She was resolute in her mission, despite the danger looming over her.

As she approached her locker, she saw Sunghoon leaning against a row of lockers, his face marked by frustration and concern. The hallway was alive with students moving between classes, their laughter and chatter adding a vibrant backdrop to the escalating drama.

“Hey, Hana,” Sunghoon called out, his voice stern and clipped.

The crowded hallway seemed to hush slightly as students took notice of the tension between them.

Hana met his gaze, her expression resolute. “What’s going on, Sunghoon?”

Sunghoon’s face tightened with irritation. “We need to talk. I’ve seen you with Heeseung a lot lately. What’s the deal? Are you really that desperate to have someone else in your life?”

Hana’s patience was wearing thin. “Heeseung is just a friend who’s helping me with the investigation. There’s nothing more to it.”

Sunghoon’s frustration erupted. “It’s more than just ‘nothing,’ Hana! You’re spending all this time with him while I’m here, waiting for you. I’ve been trying to be there for you, but it seems like you’re moving on without a second thought.”

Hana’s eyes flashed with anger. “Waiting for what, Sunghoon? We’re not together anymore. You don’t get to dictate who I spend time with or how I handle things. If you’re so concerned, why don’t you just let me deal with my life the way I see fit?”

Sunghoon’s anger boiled over. “If you need someone, I’m right here! I’ve always been here, but it seems like you’re only pushing me away. If Heeseung is so important, why don’t you just be with him? But don’t expect me to stand by while you put yourself in danger!”

The argument drew the attention of several students who were now gathered around them, their whispers creating a buzz of curiosity.

“Did you see that? Sunghoon and Hana are having a huge fight. It sounds like Sunghoon’s still not over her.”

“Yeah, and he’s really losing it. He almost got into a fight with someone who bumped into him. I guess he’s still holding onto feelings for Hana.”

“Seems like Hana’s moving on, though. I saw her with Heeseung earlier, and now Sunghoon’s out of control. I wonder what’s going to happen next.”

Eunchae, observing the scene from a distance, approached Hana with a look of concern. “Hana, are you okay?” she asked softly, her voice barely audible over the murmurs of the crowd.

Hana forced a tight smile. “I’m fine, Eunchae. Just dealing with some personal issues.”

Sunghoon, his anger barely contained, stormed away down the hallway. As he did, he nearly collided with another student who accidentally bumped into him.

Sunghoon’s temper snapped.

“Watch where you’re going!” he shouted, his voice rising above the general noise of the hallway.

The student mumbled an apology and quickly moved away, leaving Sunghoon seething. His frustration was evident, and his actions only fueled the gossip swirling around him. The scene was becoming a spectacle, with students eager to discuss the latest drama.
