POV: Wanda Maximoff

In that moment, the world stopped. Time slowed, and I stood at the edge of the void, teetering between two choices.

Behind me, the Scarlet Queen loomed, her power wrapping around me like a noose. Ahead, Doctor Strange extended his hand, his magic a beacon in the darkness.

It was so tempting to just let go, to surrender to the Queen's power and finally be free of the struggle. But as I stood there, wavering, a memory flashed through my mind—my brother's laugh, Vision's gentle smile, the life I had built despite all the pain.

"I am Wanda Maximoff," I whispered to myself, my voice gaining strength. "And I will not be controlled."

With a deep breath, I reached out toward Doctor Strange.

The Scarlet Queen screamed in fury, her power lashing out at me like a whip. But it was too late. I had made my choice.

"NOW, STEPHEN!" I shouted, and he unleashed the spell.

A surge of magic exploded around us, the force of it ripping through Alterworld like a storm. I felt the Queen's grip on me loosen, felt her power slipping away as Doctor Strange's spell enveloped me in light.

For the first time in what felt like forever, I could breathe again.

But as the Queen's voice faded, I heard one last whisper.

This isn't over, Wanda. I will return.

And then, she was gone.

POV: Doctor Strange

Wanda collapsed into my arms as the spell completed, her body trembling with exhaustion. I could still feel the lingering darkness of the Scarlet Queen around us, but for now, she was gone.

I looked down at Wanda, her face pale but her eyes determined. She had won—for now.

"You did it," I said softly.

She nodded weakly. "For now. But she'll be back."

I sighed, knowing she was right. The battle was far from over. But in this moment, we had a small victory, and for that, I was grateful.

"We'll be ready," I promised.

Wanda gave me a faint smile, but her eyes were distant, already thinking about the next battle. The Scarlet Queen might be gone, but her shadow still loomed over us.

And the next time she returned, it would be even more dangerous.
