POV: Wanda Maximoff
The return to the Sanctum was tense. The tome from the Dark Covenant's fortress revealed the extent of their plans, and the gravity of the situation was heavier than ever. We needed to act quickly to prevent their vision of merging the worlds from becoming a reality.
As I sat alone in my room, the weight of our mission pressed heavily on me. I had been studying the tome, trying to decipher its complex dark magic, but the intricacies were overwhelming. The deeper I delved into the text, the more I felt the dark magic seeping into my thoughts.
The sudden chill in the air made me shiver. Shadows began to swirl around me, and I felt a cold presence. I turned to find the same dark figure that had attacked us previously standing in the corner of the room.
"Not you again," I said, trying to steady my voice. "What do you want?"
The figure stepped forward, its eyes glowing with an eerie light. "The time has come for you to make a choice, Wanda Maximoff. The power of the relic and the fate of the worlds rest in your hands."
I stood my ground, though my heart raced. "We know what the Dark Covenant plans to do. We won't let them succeed."
"The Dark Covenant is only one piece of the puzzle," the figure said. "There are forces beyond your comprehension at play. The Nexus of Shadows is not just a realm—it is a gateway to greater darkness. The relic is but a key to this gateway."
"What are you saying?" I demanded. "Are you telling us there's something even more dangerous than the Dark Covenant?"
"Yes," the figure replied. "The Nexus of Shadows holds ancient and malevolent entities that seek to break free and wreak havoc upon the mortal world. The Dark Covenant's plans may be a part of a larger scheme."
The figure's words were chilling. If the Nexus held entities capable of breaking free and causing destruction, our battle against the Dark Covenant was only a fraction of the greater threat.
"What should we do?" I asked, desperation seeping into my voice.
"Seek out the Guardian of the Nexus," the figure instructed. "Only with their aid can you hope to prevent the worst from happening. But be warned, their allegiance is not easily won."
With that, the figure vanished into the shadows, leaving me with more questions than answers. I knew we needed to find the Guardian of the Nexus and learn how to prevent the impending catastrophe.
I rejoined Doctor Strange and Wong, my mind racing with the new information. "We have to find the Guardian of the Nexus," I told them. "The dark figure revealed that there are entities in the Nexus that pose an even greater threat. We need their help to stop the Dark Covenant and protect the worlds."
Doctor Strange's eyes narrowed with determination. "We'll start by researching the Guardian and their whereabouts. Time is of the essence."
Wong nodded in agreement. "We need to gather all the information we can and prepare ourselves for the challenges ahead."
Our search for the Guardian began in earnest. We scoured ancient texts and consulted magical entities, hoping to uncover any clues that could lead us to the elusive figure. The urgency of our mission drove us forward, and every moment counted in our quest to prevent the impending darkness.
