Chapter 13 Only you

I accepted what Lily told me so I didn't force myself on her. Maybe it's better to wait. I love Lily. I accept her decision. After Lily and I finished eating, I went home to rest. 

The next morning, Ivan called me and asked me to have breakfast at their house. 

*On the phone*

"Yo Rome, can you go to my house to have breakfast?"

"Oh, are you sure about that?"

"Yeah, yeah, Emily said come here and talk to you."

It was 8 in the morning, and I went straight to Emily's house, and she talked to me, and Emily found out that I had confessed to Lily. 

"Rome, Lily told you what happened last night."

"Oh, I confessed and accepted what Lily told me."

"It was right that you confessed, but Lily was shocked by what you said."

"Maybe"

"Don't break Lily's trust; what I want you to do is don't change the way you treat Lily."

"I will never change; I will do everything just to make her happy."

I can't say that I'm happy or sad; I don't understand what I'm feeling right now. Maybe it's better like this; whatever Lily and I have, I'll stay. 

I went home and rested for a while, and I thought about how I would tell Lily that my mission is at the end of the march.

"I'll just tell her when we meet again."

While I was resting at home, someone suddenly knocked on my door.

*knock*

"Coming"

When I opened the door, my work colleagues greeted me.

"What are you guys doing here?"

"We want to visit you; we want to know what happened on your date with Lily."

"You guys are very gossipy."

"Are we not allowed to listen to our best friend?"

"Come on in."

I let my friends in, and they immediately asked me what happened last night, and I told them everything that happened.

"Oh, so that's what happened."

"Yes, but I accept her decision."

"Are you sure about Lily, Rome?"

"Yes, I'm sure about her, and I will stay with her while I'm still here."

"You are in love."

"Of course I've liked her for a long time."

My friends didn't stay at my house for long, and they left
