Chapter 17 One Dream

That night I had a dream. I saw a girl running in the field. I told her to wait for me, but she didn't stop running when I chased her. She's suddenly disappeared. 
 
*Shocked*
 
"Goodmorning Rome, you have a bad dream?"
"Goodmorning Lily, I don't know if bad or good."
"Just sip this coffee and your good."
"I guess so."
 
I wonder who's that woman. I had this dream when I was 18; that dream came back, but its different. First it was a crying child, now it's a girl running in that field.
 
"You look like you're chasing someone."
"I know"
"What do you mean, I know?"
"By the way, when I finish this coffee, I go to my office."
"Sure sure"
 
When I finished my coffee, I immediately went to my office.
 
"Rome. How are you?"
"Hey guys, Im ok, by the way."
"The Lieutenant wants to see you, Rome."
"Me why?
"He wants to tell you something important."
 
I went to the Lieutenant office with my nervous body.
 
"I wonder what he will say to me."
 
"Hello sir, GOOD MORNING!"
 
*Salute*
 
"Come and sit."
"Thank you, sir."
"So your mission is coming this March 30."
"Yes sir"
"I have an individual mission for you."
"What's sir?"
"There's a funeral in the moon. I want you to find it, take a picture of it, and bring it to me."
"But sir, we can't take a picture in the moon."
"Ow yeah, right, just find it and tell me if she's ok."
"I got you, sir. I will check her."
 
I leave the office, and I got so many questions. There's a body in the moon; maybe that's a lieutenant comrade.
 
"I got an individual mission, guys; maybe I can't join your mission."
"Come on, I think that mission is easy."
"I think the moon is not quite big, and my mission is to find the funeral in the moon."
"So you saying there's a dead body in the moon?"
"That's the first thing that pops up in my mind, but I need to check it just to make sure that there's a whole body or just a space suit."
"Ok, well, its your mission; you're in charge. Good luck."
"Yeah yeah"
 
I got a bit worried. This is my first time to the moon, and I got an individual mission. I can't do this on my own.
 
"Hey Cole, can you help me on my mission?"
"Absolutely not"
"You scared, aren't you?"
"Im not scared, Im just doing my own job."
"What if there's a ghost in the moon?"
"That's nonsense, so stop joking; you guys are grown men."
"Sorry, Mr. Big Brain."
 
We go off to the office, and they give us a 2-hour break to eat our lunch.
 
"Rome, what do you think about your solo mission?"
"You guys can't move on"
"But what do you think?"
"I don't know, but to be honest, I got this bad feeling."
"What's it?"
"I don't want to say it."
"Why are you scared now?"
"I said bad feeling not fear feeling."
"So tell us then."
"I think that funeral is from Charlotte Flos."
"Who?"
"Nevermind, let's eat so we can get back to our office."
 
I have this thought that the funeral is from Charlotte Lily's mother, but let me confirm to my lieutenant. After we finish eating, we go back to our office and continue our work.
 
"Hey guys, lieutenant is here."
 
"GOOD AFTERNOON SIR!!" *Salute*
 
"Listen up everyone. Your mission is on March 30. So be ready on that day. Understand that, and Rome, don't forget what I told you."
"Yes sir!"
 
After that, the lieutenant left the office, and I forgot my question. Maybe I should ask him tomorrow. 
 
"Good luck guys, we can do this."
 
I got home and I saw Lily watching the moon again.
 
"Hi Lily"
"Ow, hi, your back."
"Of course I will be back."
"I thought you never came back again."
"I just got off to work."
 
I saw Lily's crying, so I asked her why.
 
"Why are you crying?
"Nothing, I just dream about you."
"Maybe that's a good dream."
"No, its not."
"So tell me what's it."
"I dream about you and mom; you guys are both in the rocket and then explode."
"So you saying I'm about to die?"
"Yes"
"Don't worry, Lily, I will come back. Im not going to die, trust me."
 
She nods at me, and I ask her if she eats
 
"Did you eat?"
"Not yet; actually, I just woke up."
"Perfect, let's eat outside."
"Sure"
"Lily, give me your key, and I will drive."
 
She gave me her keys, and we were ready to leave.
While I drove, Lily asked me
 
"How's your day, Rome?"
"I'm glad you asked that; I'm actually ok."
"Good to know."
"How about you?"
"Im totally fine."
"Are you sure?"
"But are you sure your rocket ship is not going to explode?"
"Lily, of course not; we have the best engineers and professional trainers, so no need to worry, ok?"
"If that thing gets exploded again, I will not trust any engineer in this world."
"Are you worried about me?"
"Of course your my best friend, my only best friend."
"Trust me, I will come back."
