Jungkook wakes up from his nightmare. His body is trembling, his forehead sweating. This nightmare of that night had been haunting him for years. Jungkook covers his eyes with his palms and cries into it. The nightmare still has after effects on his mind.

That scene. He could never forget it. The night he lost his one true love. The only person he loved so deeply. His Jimin.

Jungkook and Jimin are childhood best friends - turned lovers. Jimin is 2 years older than Jungkook but their bond was stronger than ever. They started dating when Jimin was 17 and Jungkook 15. Jungkook was the one who asked Jimin out and the shy best friend was more than delighted to accept the proposal

Jungkook had just gotten his driver's permit at the age of 16. He already knew how to drive as he was very observant when he watched Jimin drive him around.

That evening, it was the first snow of the year and Jungkook wanted to drive Jimin to the BangTan Cafe for their date. Jimin was mostly away at college so Jungkook wanted to spend as much time with the older boy as possible. Jimin didn't want to go out that night as he could feel himself catching a cold but he couldn't say no to the bunny eyes.

A night Jungkook thought would be one of the best nights of his life turned out to be the worst

It is something that Jungkook would regret for his entire life. Jungkook still remembers how his car skidded across the icy roads. He couldn't control it. Jimin knew what was going to happen and he tried his best to calm the younger boy but when Jimin noticed another car coming towards Jungkook's side of the car, Jimin grabs the steering wheel to save Jungkook but that leads to Jimin having a lot more injuries.

Jungkook cried as he tried to reach out towards Jimin lying to his side covered in blood

Jimin smiles weakly at him. Jungkook knew this was their last moment. Jimin knew it too

"...p-please d-don't cry..." Jimin manages to say, taking deep breaths, struggling to breathe. It makes Jungkook cry harder. The light from Jimin's eyes was dimming slowly "...if I am t-to d-die today... I am glad it was with y-you by m-my side... thank you J-Jungkookah for everything..I f-forgive you...so please f-forgive yourself..it's not your f-fault.." Jimin says knowing that Jungkook is blaming himself "... I l-love you so much... please stay strong and move on w-without me... let's find each other in our next lives" a tear rolls down Jimin's cheek as he finally takes his last breath

Jungkook screams crying hysterically watching Jimin's blank stare. He couldn't move as his belt was stuck. He couldn't reach Jimin "No! You can't leave me! I love you! Do you hear me?! I won't move on because I will find you in this life... you promised me! You promised to be with me forever!"

Jungkook was depressed. He had to take a lot of therapy to move on. He never forgave himself and would visit Jimin's grave often. He worked hard because Jimin always encouraged that. He didn't want to disappoint Jimin in any way. He graduated and is working successfully.

Jimin always wanted to fund an orphanage and Jungkook did that, now as a working adult. They used to go to orphanages, before as kids. It was one of the things that made Jungkook fall for Jimin.

Then one day 16 years later, Jungkook goes to the same orphanage he used to visit with Jimin and there he sees a boy at a distance. The boy looked oddly familiar. Jungkook's breath catches in his throat when the boy turns around to the name someone yelled out to him
