She was wearing a rust and gold colored lehenga. Her long brown hair open and curled from the bottom. She wasnt wearing kajal today yet her eyes still looked mesmerizing. Small of her waist was visible from where her choli ended. I gulped some of the shame down my throat but I couldn't look anywhere else when she was running around like a tiny fairy. Her hair falling from back of her shoulder to her front again and again. The urge to move them away gently from her face was so strong, I had to drink water.

“Stop staring at my sister.” I was about to kill him but I was in good mood today. “You look…well today.” douchebag.

“Found dirt. Need to scrape it away.”

He took the bottle from my hand and drank the rest of the water. “I knew there was something off. What did you find?”

When I finally looked away from her, I looked at her brother. He seemed… not okay.

“What's with you? Why are you slumping?” I ask, pouring some kheer into my plate.

“Nothing.” absolutely something,

“Say it.” I said, taking a bite of the kheer, it was delicious. I loved it, when he didn't speak again, I did. “ Is it that girl?” He told me he met some hindu girl a few years back when he went to Turkey and I knew he was serious about her, but why was he making such a face?
“Her name’s Sasha. She met Dina a few days ago.” He had to take her name. All my appetite was lost. I scratched my brows. “And?” speedbreaker.
“She likes her and they both got off the minute they met. Dina says she can imagine her as my wife and that she would help in anyway she can. Biya also likes her and says they would help her convert and convince Maa and Baba too.”

“Whats the problem then?”

“Sasha is scared. I dont know which matter should be handled first. You or her.” He loves me.

“Your Woman. I can handle myself.”

“But she needs time.”

“Hm. Who is at your house right now?”

He looks at me confused, “ Everyone except me and my sisters.”

“Then lets go sort my matters first. You’ll be stress free once I talk to your parents myself. If Sasha needs time, let her, she needs to go back to Turkey anyway right? Let her come back and then introduce her to your family maybe?”

“Why are we going to my house right now? If we leave right now, Zoha will literally kill us. And I told you to take this matter slowly. I didn't even talk to Dina. Plus she is going on a date tomorrow with the guy because she needs to make her own decisions.”

“Date? Tomorrow? With that guy? You didn't even hear about the dirt I found on him. You’d let your sister leave for a date with that guy? Are you in your right mind?” I got up. “Zoha has a lot of people around her. We are leaving, get up.”

“Calm down, Zarar. We need to think through this.”

I walked back to him, so close I could snap his neck in two. “If she goes on a fucking date with any other men, I swear I’ll break their legs. Are you coming with me?” He nods like a good friend and we drive to his house.

I should have talked to her first. What if I convince her family but she doesn't even like me?

It's okay, I'll wait. And let her like me. There’s no one but her.

I pull the handle and get out of the car, straightening my coat.

“Do you even know what to talk about?” Ravi asks me as he climbs out of the car.
