It keeps getting hard to notice her when his brother is right beside me talking continuously about who knows what. Someone needs to tell him, I am definitely not interested.
His phone rings and he excuses. Finally.
I crane my neck towards where she is sitting with other girls. They are singing songs while playing with the dhol. Her beauty is mesmerizing. Her pale skin, blushed a little, glowing against the bottle green dress. She is wearing slightly big jhumkas supported with saharas reaching the back of her head, her hair tied in a beautiful braid leaving loosely curled hair strands on her face. And oh her eyes. I could look into them and time would stand by my side waiting to pass. Suddenly her phone rings and she picks the call. While talking to someone on her phone, she gets up and starts searching for someone when her eyes land on me. My heart summersault in my chest.
Breath Zarar.
It wasn't until she starts walking towards me. My eyes widen but I try to keep my face straight. Suddenly my lips feel dry and I feel like I haven't drank water in days. My heart was beating so fast I could hear the beats in my ears.
She’s walking straight towards me. Her face looks worried. Her brows jacked to one spot and her eyes constantly searching for someone.
“Where’s my brother?” she asks me. I could not speak.
“Where’s Ravi?” she asks again.
“Uh, he went. Um, to pick up some call.” she looks at me, confused. Her brows raised. “Over there.” I point to the refreshments stall. She picks up her long frock and huffs from beside me. It isnt until she is gone, that I realize I wasn't breathing.
What is wrong with me?
I bring one of me hands to my face and caress my beard. I should leave.
Shit.
