The spacious, modern office of Kraisee Hiranchai was filled with the low hum of the city beyond the tall glass windows. The man behind the desk, Kraisee, radiated power and control. He was known for running one of the largest business empires in the country, with deep political ties. His voice carried the authority of a man who had seen and shaped the world to his liking.

But now, as he looked across the desk at his daughter, Ira, he was anything but at ease.

"Ira, this is not up for discussion," Kraisee said firmly, his brows furrowed with concern. "You need a bodyguard."

Ira sighed, sitting opposite him, her arms crossed. She was an upcoming artist, her career slowly gaining momentum in the entertainment world. She loved her independence and hated the idea of constant surveillance. Her father's overprotection was the last thing she needed right now.

"Dad, I already have a manager. I don't need a bodyguard too," Ira replied, trying to keep her voice calm. "I can take care of myself. Besides, I'm not that famous yet. No one's even bothering me."

Kraisee shook his head, clearly unconvinced. "I'm not worried about your fame, Ira. I'm worried about the threats. You know the kinds of enemies I have in both business and politics. They'll come for the people closest to me to try and get to me. That means you."

She shifted uncomfortably, knowing her father wasn't exaggerating. She had seen the reports of threats against him, the calls late at night where his tone would turn serious, but this still felt unnecessary to her. The idea of having someone constantly following her around didn't sit well. It felt invasive.

"I get that you're worried, but a bodyguard?" Ira rubbed her temples, feeling the tension building. "It's over the top, Dad. I don't want someone breathing down my neck all the time."

Kraisee leaned forward, his voice softening but still full of resolve. "Ira, listen to me. These people don't play by the rules. If they can't hurt me directly, they will hurt you. I can't risk that. I won't risk that."

Ira looked away, chewing on her lip. She knew where this was heading. Her father's worry was genuine, and once he made up his mind, there was no changing it.

"If you don't hire a bodyguard," Kraisee continued, "I will hire one myself. And if you still refuse, I'll come to every event, every photoshoot, and every interview to watch over you myself. Is that what you want?"

Ira's eyes widened at the threat. The last thing she needed was her father tailing her around like a shadow.

"Dad, you can't be serious," she groaned.

"Try me," he replied, raising a brow.

Letting out a heavy sigh of defeat, Ira slumped in her chair. "Fine. I'll hire a bodyguard. But I have conditions."

Kraisee relaxed slightly, though the concern in his eyes didn't fade. "What conditions?"
