The event at the grand mall had finally arrived, and Ira was radiant in a stunning green dress that seemed to shimmer under the bright lights. Every eye in the crowd was drawn to her, including Tawan's. She stood at the edge of the stage, watching closely as Ira greeted her adoring fans. The way her emerald dress hugged her figure, the way her hair cascaded in soft waves over her shoulders—it was impossible for Tawan not to steal glances at her. Each time Ira smiled or waved, Tawan found herself gulping, fighting to keep her focus sharp.

But Tawan wasn't there to admire Ira's beauty. She was there to ensure Ira's safety, and today was different. She had quietly placed her team throughout the mall, blending seamlessly with the crowd. They weren't visible to the untrained eye, and neither Ira nor her manager had any idea of the extra security detail. Tawan's instincts had been right to be cautious. Somchai had warned her just hours before that Amonsak's men might strike, though he had no concrete details on when or how.

Tawan couldn't take any chances. Every corner of the mall was being watched, every face scanned for suspicious behavior. Despite the soft hum of Ira's voice serenading her fans, Tawan's mind was focused entirely on spotting any threats. Her sharp eyes scanned the crowd for anything unusual—anyone wearing a mask or hoodie, anyone who looked out of place.

For most of the event, things remained calm. Ira's voice, singing her latest song, was enchanting, a sound that could pull Tawan into a trance if she let her guard down. But she didn't. Not today. Her heart wanted to revel in the music, to let Ira's voice soothe her frayed nerves, but her mind remained vigilant.

She remembered Somchai's warning as she subtly communicated with her team, checking in with them through their hidden earpieces. "Stay sharp," she whispered, her voice firm but steady.

As the event drew to a close, Ira waved goodbye to her fans, a wide smile on her face, oblivious to the potential danger surrounding her. Tawan exhaled, her shoulders relaxing slightly. The event had gone off without a hitch, and her team began to report back to her. No one suspicious. No threats spotted.

But Tawan knew better than to relax too soon.

She led Ira to the waiting van, her senses still on high alert. Ira was chatting with her manager, completely unaware of the tension that gripped Tawan. As Ira climbed into the van, Tawan's eyes caught a flicker of movement in the distance—a man, sleek and fast, sprinting toward them. Time seemed to slow down as she saw the glint of metal in his hand.A gun.

Without thinking, Tawan slammed the van door shut just as the man raised the gun and fired. The shot rang out, a deafening blast that echoed through the underground parking lot. The bullet hit the darkened window of the van, but thankfully, the reinforced glass held firm. Mr. Kraisee had the foresight to make the van bulletproof—a decision that had just saved Ira's life."Drive! Fast!" Tawan shouted to the driver, her heart racing as she heard another shot behind them. The van peeled out of the parking lot, leaving the gunman behind.

Inside the van, Ira sat trembling, her hands pressed tightly over her ears. The shock was visible in her wide eyes, and tears were already forming. Tawan's heart broke at the sight. Without hesitation, she wrapped her arms around Ira, pulling her close. "I'm here, Ira," she whispered, her voice softer now. "I'm here... I'll keep you safe."
