(Y/N)'s POV:
I heard a knock on my door, snapping me out of my daydreaming.
"Y/n?" Lucifer's voice came through, muffled from behind the door, followed by another knock.
I quickly called out, "Oh, uhm, come in!!"
The door pushed open and Lucifer stepped inside, closing it behind him with a nudge of his foot. "Hello, y/n." He said in a soft and friendly tone. "Have you settled in nicely? Do you like your new room?"
"Yes, and yes." I chuckled, nodding my head. The new room was so much better than I expected.
Lucifer smiled, clearly pleased. He leaned on his cane, his posture relaxed yet authoritative. "I'm glad to hear that. I wanted to have a quick word with you before you head downstairs."
Curiosity piqued, I cocked my head to the side slightly, "Oh? What about?"
"Well, it's about Charlie," he began, his tone becoming more serious. "This hotel really means a lot to her, and she really believes that sinners can be redeemed."
I nodded along to his words, listening intently to what he was saying.
"You however, you aren't trying to redeem yourself- you're doing the exact opposite. You want to stay here, for some odd reason," he chuckled at that last part, pausing and taking a deep breath before continuing. "I just don't want to see her get hurt. So I'm asking that you either tell her about your true intentions, or you make sure that she doesn't find out. It'll break her heart if she finds out that you've been lying to her."
He really cared about his daughter and didn't want her to get hurt- it was genuinely heartwarming to see. I would never have expected the devil himself to be so kind. Christians give him a bad rep.
I nodded, giving him a sweet smile "Of course, I understand."
"Thank you." He sighs, looking relieved. "Now, let's get you introduced to everyone! They really are an... Interesting group of demons, I feel like you'll get along just fine!" He chuckled, his attitude reverting back to his usual cheery self.
"Just, uh- steer clear of that radio guy, he's a weirdo." He mumbles with a smug chuckle. They clearly didn't like each other.
He lifts his hand to snap his fingers, but just before he does, his eyebrows perk up, a look of realization on his face. "Oh! Hah, almost forgot! There's just one more thing," He adds, laughing at himself. "Come up to my room after you're done downstairs. There's more we need to talk about."
I give him a wink and a little two-fingered salute, "Sure thing."
With that, he snaps his fingers, and I'm whooshed away to the downstairs lobby where I came from. Everybody was gathered in the living room, Charlie waved me over as soon as she saw me appear. "Y/n! Over here!"
I couldn't help but smile at her positivity, though it was a bit overwhelming at first, she really made me feel welcome. I walked over to where everyone else was, they were all sitting on the ground. All the demons I saw when I first came in were all here already- along with a short one in an apron, who I hadn't met yet.
"Just sit anywhere you like, we're waiting for the others to show up before we start!" Charlie tells me.
I settled into a free spot near the striking figure of the white and pink demon. For a moment, I couldn't help but admire her striking appearance. She had a tall, slim build with a tuft of white fluff on her chest. The striped top hugged her torso perfectly, and the mini skirt accentuated her long legs, which were completed by bold black platform boots that added an extra touch of height.
As I glanced over, she turned to face me, and I instinctively flinched, realizing I had been caught staring.
"Caught ya staring," he teased, a playful giggle escaping his lips.
Wait- she's a he?!
My jaw dropped slightly in disbelief. "I- I'm sorry," I stammered, feeling heat rush to my cheeks. Why the fuck is he so pretty?!
He gently patted my shoulder, waving off my embarrassment. "Don't worry about it," he said with a chuckle.
At that moment, the front door swung open with a loud bang. A one eyed woman with striking pink hair and a vibrant, pinkish outfit burst into the room. She kicked the door wide, her laughter echoing as she announced, "Whaddup hoes?!" Her energy filled the space, instantly commanding attention.
"You're just in time!" Charlie begins, "We-"
"You'd better be glad I didn't blast through the wall!" She cackled, playfully punching Charlie. "I was seriously tempted to."
She sat down between me and the fluffy guy, plopping down on the floor with a quiet "oof"
Charlie clasped her hands together, a bright smile spreading across her face. "Well, now that everyone is here, we can get started!"
The cat demon crossed his arms, his expression obviously annoyed. "Don't tell me we're doing the clapping game again," he grumbled, taking a few gulps of the bottle he was holding. Beside him, the fluffy guy nodded in agreement, rolling his eyes dramatically.
Charlie scoffed lightheartedly, ignoring their complaints. "Oh, come on, guys! It's not that bad!" She took a deep breath, clearing her throat to gather their attention.
"My name is Charlie," she paused and clapped twice, "I like to sing," she claps again, "and when we get to know each other, it's the greatest thing!"
She points her arms out to the cat demon who was complaining earlier, and he shook his head. "Oh Hell no."
"Come on!" She insisted, her eyes sparkling with encouragement.
He lets out an extended sigh and mumbles something under his breath before he reluctantly does as she asked.
"My name is Husk," he claps twice, "I, uh... I like to drink," he claps again, "I hate that all Angel ever does is talk about kinks."
The fluffy guy- who I'm assuming was Angel, gasped dramatically, putting a hand on his fluffy chest and playfully acting offended. "How dare you?!" He laughed.
Charlie paused for a second, looking a bit shocked. "Oh, uhm- that was great Husk!" She laughed awkwardly, trying her best to be supportive. "Now, who wants to go next?"
She looks around at the demons in the room, putting a finger on her chin as she decides who should go next. She fixed her gaze on the spider demon who I was talking to earlier, her eyes bright and expectant. With a deliberate "ahem," she cleared her throat, a subtle yet obvious signal that she wanted him to take his turn. Though she didn't say anything, he got the message.
"Alright, alright," He rolls his eyes with a chuckle, "my name is Angel," he claps twice, pausing for a moment to think of a rhyme. His eyes suddenly light up and a playful smirk spreads across his face.
"And I like Husk~" he says with a giggle, clapping twice.
Husk choked on the booze he was drinking, his eyes widening in surprise. I couldn't help but stifle a laugh, letting out a little "Phbbt-" sound as I fought to keep a straight face.
"What the hell, Angel!?" Husk scoffed, facepalming and pretending to be annoyed by the teasing. Yet despite his efforts to remain serious, a small smile played on the corners of his lips and a soft chuckle slipped out.
Everyone continued on with the icebreaker game, some were more reluctant to do it, but Charlie ended up convincing them in the end. At first, I thought this game was stupid. And, well, it was. But I had to admit, it was a lot of fun.

AUTHORS NOTE:
I was gonna write more to this chapter and make it a bit longer, but I figured I'd write it all in two chapters instead so I'd be able to upload sooner
Credit goes to _Angelic_Amy_ for Husk's part in the game 😭 I thought her response went best with what I was gonna make Angel say
