Date and Trauma Dump

Red's POV

I was sleeping peacefully and soundly until I heard the annoying sound of Chloe's alarm clock go off.

"Turn it off", I mumbled half asleep. But the alarm still kept going.

"Turn that shit off princess", but once again the alarm clock would not shut up. I was really annoyed now because it wouldn't let me sleep.

I reached over and threw the alarm clock on the floor breaking it. I didn't mean to do that but it was the only option available, either that or turning it off, but that was no fun. I looked around and saw Chloe was still sleeping next to me on her stomach facing away from me.

It was Sunday so we didn't have to get up early, so we could sleep in late. I started to lay back down to go back to sleep until I remembered the date me and Eva planned for Chloe. I quickly got up to check my phone. The time read 10:27.

"Red?", I heard Chloe mumble looking around the room for me.

"I'm right here princess", I put my phone down and went to lay down next to her again, putting my arms around her with her head on my chest.

"Uh why is my clock on the floor?"

"I have no idea baby"

"Right.."

I let out a laugh gently playing with her hair while she drifted off to sleep. I got my phone and texted Eva.

Eva

R: hey

E: Hiii!
E: Are you excited for the date?

R: yea i'm just a bit nervous, hey what type of food do i bring?

E: Anything really, bring her favorite food and snacks
E: There's a market off the road from Auradon , you can get something from there

R: okay sounds good, thank you so much again Eva

E:No problem! Lmk how it goes!

I let Chloe sleep for a bit more with me by her side, until I decided I should get up to get ready and to go buy the food and set up the date.

The date we planned was pretty simple but cute, I am going to take her to the Enchanted Lake, have a picnic there, and then walk to the park and lay on the grass to watch the stars.

I was able to get off of Chloe's grip without waking her up. I took a quick shower and got dressed quietly so I wouldn't wake her up, but I failed when my clumsy ass tripped over my shoes on the floor.

"Ow..", I slowly got up seeing Chloe stirring awake.

"Red, where are you going?, I saw her sit up and look at me, confusion on her face with a little smile.

"And why are you on the floor?", She asked as I went to sit next to her on the bed.

"Uh, I was... looking for something", I felt so dumb telling her I tripped.

I'm supposed to be cool and a badass, I can't let her see my clumsy side.

"Babe did you trip?"

"No.."

Chloe started giggling while I groaned and rolled my eyes, getting up and going to my desk to get my phone and my wallet.
