Once upon a time, a beautiful princess was locked away in the tall tower. Trapped for years by her evil step mother, she had never ventured out into the wilderness in the input fear of monsters that lingered among the grass lines.

Yet, one day, humming a song out of her window of the tall tower, a prince overheard her angelic voice, following the sound. He stumbled upon the tower, calling out to the girl.

Anyways, blah, blah, blah, he takes her out and they kill the evil stepmother. Then, she finds out that she's the missing princess of the kingdom of sun and he returns her to her parents and then they get married.

"Y/n, you don't have to read it like that.."

Sighing to herself as she threw the book down on her bed, a female with [color] [length] hair pouted as she stood up. Her arms crossed over her body, walking over to her bookshelf, beginning to observe the shelves. Another female sat in the room with the princess, frowning as they watched the princess toss more books onto the ground

"Why do I only have fantasy books? They all have the same story-- the princess is dumb and stupid, and then her prince charming comes rolling by, whisking her on her feet into marriage." The female grumbled. "Why can't the princess die or something? Or, the prince turns out to be the villain?"

"Well, you do quite have the imagination.." Pixal, Y/n's maid, stated.

Pixal stood up from the bed, picking up the books scattered on the floor.

"Please, try not to mess with your library, Princess Y/n. These books were rather hard to get. You should be grateful that your mother--"

Y/n eyed the other female. "What? That she cares about me? Please, we all know Lloyd is the important character of this stupid book. He was appointed the Green Knight after all."

Pixal couldn't help but frown. The maid has known Y/n since they were children and promised to stick to her side and keep in all of the princess's secrets. Now that they were older, Pixal couldn't help but catch on about how Y/n was beginning to realize her position as the princess. The girl had quite gotten restless, begging her maid to leave her 'cage' (rather, a smaller castle to herself with a few maids and butlers) and had hopes and dreams of seeing the outside world.

"You shouldn't speak of your brother that way. He is well respected." Pixal said, sighing. "Speaking of your brother, he had even emptied his schedule for the next two weeks in honor of your upcoming event."

Y/n rolled her eyes in annoyance, walking over to her vanity and sitting down. Pixal followed in suit after organizing the book, picking up a brush and began to comb through the [color] locks.

"You should be excited for this. You will be making your official public appearance. I'm sure you will have a lot of suitors in line."

Y/n glanced down, tracing over the mask that she had worn for years, masking her face from the public eye. She remembered how she had gotten it. Before her father had turned to the evil side, he had gifted the mask to her when she was 3 years old. Y/n never really thought much of it, but later on, she grew to realize it's significance.

The jewels and gold were crafted by her father's hand- specifically made for her and only her. She was known to be a spoiled child under the eye of her father, Garmadon. He was rather fond of her. After all, she was the first born. A girl.

"When do the Saviors plan to raid the Lord's* lands?" Y/n asked quietly.

(* ;; The nickname given to the late Prince, Garmadon who had became a tyrant.)
